yes it is plenty big enough for all your baking needs. I use it to roll out up to 13" pie crust and cut biscuit dough with no mess on my cabinets.

Will this mat stay/adhere to a wood dining table?

I can't believe it wouldn't; it adheres to granite counter.

Will the dough mat move when rolling dough?

NEVER, the silicone mat grab the countertop firmly while rolling or kneading.

The mat itself is very thin. I gave on to my sister along with some other baking tools and she just used it to bake a lemon pie for my birthday this past weekend. She said it was easy to use and she likes it a great deal.
