Do not buy ! Terrible Camera and software
I’ve had Arlo cameras for over 10 years. Since the latest update to UX4, the system is almost unusable. The Go 2 camera is permanently armed unless you manually disarm every day. I’ve spoken with Arlo support and they have no fix and it’s been this way for nearly a year now.As for the camera its self, the battery drains so fast, faster than the solar panel can top it back up! I bought a second battery as I thought the first one was faulty which it was not. It’s a shame Netgear had to get greedy with their pricing and also update thier system as it worked just fine.I’m slowly changing my cameras over to Reolink. The Reolink 4g ptz it’s SO much better than the go 2.

Battery charging can be an issue
The camera so far works well. That said, the front camera due to high trigger rate, battery needs charging quite frequently.

Very high quality, easy to install security cameras.
Not the cheapest but you pay for quality. Highly rated by us. Super easy to install and set up so dont worry about that! recommended

Good cameras but subscription needed to make effective use of them
The media could not be loaded. Footage from these is good in decent light. Night vision is a weakness, however, and the spotlights have a very limited range, just 2-3 metres at best. See attached video.Number plates are easily read on stationary vehicles but usually too blurred on moving vehicles, even slow-moving ones coming down our driveway. The cameras don’t truly zoom, incidentally, they just allow you to narrow the field of vision without enhancing the definition of objects in view. They offer speakers as well as microphones, enabling two-way speech, but only if the person is close to the camera. In any case, when you get an alert, by the time you’ve established communication with the camera, the person has usually gone. The battery lasts for an impressively long time, depending on how often it’s activated. The supplied magnetic mount is very good but hopelessly insecure if the camera is within reach (you need it to be fairly accessible for battery charging). Anyone can pull it off the mount and walk off with it. More-secure mounts are available, at a price, but still not fully secure. The app works well, much of the time, but quite often tells me there are no recordings in my ‘library’. Then I have to fiddle around, trying to get them to show. I wait, I restart the app, and so on. Eventually they show up.You can store recordings on an Arlo hub but, that way, you don’t get thumbnail images in the app, so you have to download all the clips to your phone/laptop, if you want to check them. Nor do you get alert zones or differentiation between people, animals, vehicles and packages. To get the best out of these cameras, there’s really no choice but to pay for a subscription. Otherwise, you may as well buy cheaper cameras in the first place. Or you could buy alternative high-end cameras such as Netatmo Presence that offer similar functionality but with local storage.Of course, if you need battery operation (or a speaker in the camera), Presence is a non-starter. The benefit of mains power, though, apart from not having to charge the battery, is that pre-record is possible. Without pre-record, you miss the first couple of seconds of any action, and that can be crucial. Battery-powered cameras don’t pre-record, to preserve the battery. They also tend to limit the length of clips rather than recording until motion stops. I should add that these Arlo cameras are better in those respects than others I’ve tried, but mains power is still preferable,I had high hopes for these cameras and enjoyed evaluating them. There is much to like but I’d only consider buying if battery operation were essential and I didn’t mind paying for an Arlo Smart subscription.

Superb system and easy to setup
After lots of research, the Arlo system ticked all the boxes and have to say not disappointed. Very easy to install (also bought the wired bell) and easy to use. Good battery life, great picture, and good support from Arlo ( needed some help wiring bell)

Doesn't work unless you have a vey strong mobile signal - 3 bars plus
I have used many different cameras in the past including the older Arlo Go with no problem. But this new version just doesn't communicate using the mobile network unless it is right next to and within sight of the mobile mast. I've wanted to replace the older Arlo Go camera with this new version because of a tired battery and the new camera just doesn't work. 2 different Arlo Go 2 cameras were fitted without success, put the original camera back up and worked fine. Have now replaced it with a Reolink not by choice but because Arlo have released a product that isn't fit for purpose.

Very good WIFI security camera system!
The media could not be loaded. This is an excellent piece of kit. ‘Why?’ may you ask. It’s all about the battery which lasts for weeks on end. Being USB rechargeable is great because you can install these cameras wherever you like, without having to run cables. Of course, on the flip side, when they do eventually need recharging, you have to retrieve them to plug them in, but at least you don’t have to do this very often.Arlo cameras appear to rely on a user subscription service to subsidise the quality of the units, which is extremely high. The footage that the cameras capture is very good along with pretty good audio. The subscription isn’t compulsory but you do need this in order to record and retrieve any footage taken, as well as setting intruder alerts or what they call ‘armed systems’. We began testing this without subscribing to monitor our chicken coop and are really pleased with the results.Set up is easy - download the Arlo app and go through the step-by-step setup. Once the cameras are connected you your WIFI, you’re ready to to go.We haven’t yet looked into any of the advanced subscription features, but will come back and update this review after testing those features as well. It does come with a three month free trial which is great. To help you in this review so far, I’ve attached some screen-recorded footage to give an idea of the image quality.
