PlayStation 2 works. However new tv’s are not compatible. Screen is to dark. All picture settings on tv, and console are turned to the brightest possible. All fine tuning also. Still to dark to enjoy playing.

Unless you genuinely have no television capable of composite plugs, don’t buy this. It outputs a composite signal that looks absolutely awful on a large screen. Tons of color blending and awful brightness.Save yourself some time and get a component HDMI converter.

This works perfect with my brand new 75" Samsung QN90D. Yes, it is not High def, I probably need to change the video settings for 1080P, not sure if I can do that but, for what it is, it works really well. It's good enough to pay a 2009 game on a 2024 TV. I can't complain about that. My PS2 is Alive once more.

This works great! when the PS2 plays PSOne games, it adjusts/lowers the resolution of the TV. This can only happen on the RGB output option, NOT the YPBPR mode. This cable does need external power, I had to connect a usb power plug to it. But it works! I can play PSOne games on my PS2 Slim now. Sound and image are low res quality, but the games work!

While it dies the job its not good quality video as you'd expect. Its harder to see the full scene very dark no matter how bright you change the TV or computer monitor. I do have more control over the brightness and contrast on the monitor vs the TV but still not good. There looks like remnants of previous screens and text overlay on top ofbthe game. I'm playing a brand new game on a 32" dell monitor. Tried it on 54" Samsung TV and it was not usable because was too dark couldn't tell the difference between the walls from the floor. Maybe it would be better on a colorful bright game but definitely not max payne.
