OK I've used this the last two nights and I will never be going back to makeup wipes again!!!!! This is such a great product! I have always used those throw away wipes and my eyes burn and skin feels TIGHT after. This stuff is like putting lotion on, its a great thick consistency that a little goes a long way! It melts onto your skin and works way better than any wipe!! This leaves my skin feeling clean and so so soft and moisturized!! The ingredients are great and I love this brand for its quality and affordable products, this one is no exception. 10/10

I use CeraVe lotion and had never tried the cleaning balm. I really like it. It doesn't take much and takes all of my makeup off. The balm does not have an odor and it makes my skin soft. I was a little disappointed in the size but I will still purchase more when I run out.

This cleanser is multi versatile. I am sure you can use it for what it claims to do, but it really is much more. It is so smooth, and moisturizing, one really doesn't need any other product. I use it as a night cleanse, whether I have worn makeup, or not, and then nothing additional. It leaves your skin so soft, it will be all you need. And this from someone with skin which is hyper sensitive, and suffers from eczema. Also, on days I have no need to go out of the house, this is my shortcut routine. I wash with this balm, rinse, and don't even need to moisturize! It does everything for me, plus you hardly have to use more than a dab of it, with water. I am very pleased I found out about this product in a beauty site email I received, and then took the chance to try it. Thanks, CeraVe!

The product works well, but I find that the value for money isn't great. It does a good job of being non-irritating, cleaning the skin and removing makeup as part of double cleanse. This size jar is nice for my travels, but I found the Garnier cleansing balm to be a much better value for the money and it works really well.

I'm a dude, so I don't wear makeup. I do, however, wear thick industrial-strength, ultra-waterproof 100 SPF sunscreen that... until now... was basically impossible to get off my face quickly before having to jump into video conferences. For years I suffered scrubbing my face and neck with all kind of terrible stuff, and none of it even worked to remove the waterproof sunscreen. I'd kill my skin... only to still go into video meetings looking like a greasy ghost. Then a friend told me about these cleansing balms, and the rest is history. Now, when I come back indoors and have only 10-15 minutes to prepare for a meeting, I can slather on a thin coat of this stuff and just rinse everything off. Amazing. I wish I'd know about cleansing balms years ago. I can't say that the CeraVe takes 100% of the sunscreen off, but it's probably at least 90%... and that's great. I'll take it. The container is small, as others have mentioned, but a little goes a long way. A tiny dab the size of a pea is usually all I need to cover my entire face and neck. Sometimes a little more if I have to cover more area with sunscreen--like the sides and back of my head.

It’s okay, it helps with some makeup removal and feels gentle on my skin. It just doesn’t compare to some of the pricier options, which I understand since this is cheaper. It really didn’t do anything for removing my mascara which is what I was hoping it would help with more! It isn’t oily and is a nice size container for the price, just not as thorough in removing all makeup!

I like this product a lot! I’ve been looking for a cleanser that can remove makeup and is also non-comedogenic. I’m a big fan of CeraVe so I was surprised to have found this product so late! It is a pretty small package, and you have use a little more than a pea size to get a good lather. My skin feels moistured after I use it and it has an oily feel when you rub it into your skin. Great oroduct and good for travel since it is technically not a liquid. Love it!

I’m compelled to address the negative reviews because I almost didn’t buy this stuff after reading them last month. I decided to give it a try anyway, and I’m glad I did. I needed a new eye makeup remover, and I’ve been on a CeraVe kick lately. I realize the product description says you can use this on your whole face to wash off all your makeup, but I disagree. I don't think you should use this to remove foundation or any other makeup on your face. This is not a cleanser. This is a remover, and in my face routine, this balm is strictly for removing mascara. You don't need to use it if you don't wear mascara. If you do wear mascara, you need something "greasy" to cut through it and lift it off your lashes. I 'came of age' in the late 80s/early 90s, and back then, we used vaseline. You needed that grease to cut through the hard crusty mascara. Well, those days are gone. The non-comedogenic cleanser balm is obviously how we do it in the modern age, but it still has to have the same "greasy"-like texture of olden times to be effective. I will say, this one by CeraVe is actually nice and light feeling and not too greasy at all, just enough "greasy" to get the job done. You just rub a little bit on each set of eye lashes and it will lift the mascara right off, and once your lashes feel cleansed of the crustiness of the mascara, you then immediately follow up with a good water-based cleanser (or oil-based if you have dry/acne-prone skin) to wash the "greasy" balm off, and finish washing your face. (My go-to cleanser these days is CeraVe's Renewing SA Cleanser. I swear, I don't work for CeraVe LOL) I was using a similar eye makeup remover by Milk Makeup, which wasn't too bad, but I like this one by CeraVe better. This is actually less "greasy" feeling than the Milk product. Also, the one by Milk had a weird smell, and my eyes would feel foggy for about an hour after. I get none of that with the CeraVe balm. It washes away clean with no residue at all. Five full stars from me. I highly recommend it for your mascara-removing needs! And ONLY your mascara-removing needs!

Love this as it melts on your skin and does a good job

Gentle and hydrating whilst removing every trace of sunblock and makeup. I do follow-up with a wipe or hydrating cleanser to ensure it's all washed off properly. I also use cleansing oil, but the balm have the travel advantage and light to carry. No scent and competitively priced.
