Update to below: After a week or two, the creases really did completely smooth out by themselves. It is flat and absolutely no creases now. So I increased to 5 stars. You just have to be patient!Previous post:The mat itself is good quality. But it was folded tightly and wrapped with plastic so the creases in the mat are awful. Someone mentioned in a review that their mat was rolled; that would have been acceptable. Someone else wrote that the wrinkles come out in a few days, but theirs must not have been folded and wrapped so tight as to actually damage the mat. Mine would need to have a cow sleep on it for a week before the wrinkles are pressed out of it.

Perfect for a drum set and leaves no scratches on the floor. But be careful when using with an electric drumset since the points could seep through. Make sure to add pads at the bottom of it.

I read a few reviews before purchasing this mat that focused on how its shipped. Some buyers apparently received their mats rolled (which is pretty standard with mats). But of course mine showed up all folded. I was tempted to return it, but I had the bright idea to try using my steamer to get the creases out and to my surprise it worked. After about 10-15 minutes of steaming the mat, I was able to get all the creases out and I’m pretty sure it’ll lay perfectly flat after a few days. The mat itself is a great value and pretty nice quality. It stops the bass from sliding for sure. So if you don’t have a steamer DO NOT BUY THIS. Otherwise if you do have one laying around I’d recommend this product. The seller should definitely reconsider how they’re shipping these things. Seriously if you need to add a few bucks to the purchase price to accommodate for alternative shipping methods, do it.

My drummer husband purchased this drum mat and I was involved because of the aesthetics. Originally he had it solid side up because we thought the patterned leaf side was to help grip to the hardwood floor. He wasn't happy because the bass kick drum was still moving and he was ready to buy another. I said let's flip it over and try it with the "pretty side up". So we did. And I stuck the corners down with the 3m stickers (because I'm OCD and didn't like the wrinkles) and he's playing the drums right now and the bass kick drum has not budged. This rug/mat is a winner!

Bit smaller than our drum set, however the drum no longer walks away on it. The church's drummer's grin spread ear to ear. It is thick and durable. I am so pleased with this purchase.

bought this to protect the floor from kick pedal.Squeezing, anti slippage does not work, mover in 5 inches after 1-2 hours of playing.Does not protecting the floor.just invest in 3x times more expensive carpet and save your money and your floor.looks like cheap crap also

Aesthetically pleasing, but as for noise, dampering, a regular throw rug would do the same at 1/3 the cost, there are other ways that are cost efficient when you are trying to contain the vibrations while you’re using an electronic drum kit.Update, I was told the seller said they would “make it right”But, they are making it worse, telling me there is a shipping problem with Amazon and they canceled the reshoot, and re shipped, makes no sense at all. I believe they are pulling the wool over my eyes…There are better product and sellers out there!
