Easy to use if you read the instructions
It does it’s job but you have to be careful to not touch the metal around the diamond or else it won’t read the diamond. Take a picture or the instructions, laminate it, and don’t lose it. It’s a bit intricate and has various levels to set at based on how many carats your trying to measure

I bought this to make sure my mall jewelry was real. It is😂 I followed the directions to the T. Even tried it on non real items. Love it!

Flimsy with inconsistent results, more of a toy than a reliable tool in my opinion, can be used for initial testing to get a general idea I guess.
