good insurance
I acquired some used Shure mics and needed stand adapters for them. Previously I've always taken stand adapters for granted and never paid much attention to the details about them. As I shopped around I was surprised at how much the decent ones cost. These A25D adapters are right there with other name brands in terms of cost, but unlike some others these seem to be made to last forever. After buying and using these I'm very impressed with how well they fit and grip an SM57 or SM58. They seem to be made with thicker, tougher plastic than the competition and have solid brass threaded inserts for the stand mounting point. I'll be very surprised if one of these ever breaks, becomes loose or strips its threads. For mic handling by careless or inexperienced mic users these adapters amount to good insurance.Note that the A25D is made to fit 57s and 58s, which are tapered but approximately 25mm in diameter. For an SM81 you should look at adapters made to accommodate a diameter of approximately 20mm (K&M makes a great one).

Feels Really Sturdy
I have an E/V Dynamic Mic and the mic clip that it came with shattered. I've had it for many, many years, and that's just what happens to plastic as it ages--it gets brittle. So I picked up this Shure mic clip as a replacement. It feels really sturdy and my E/V mic fits in it fine. It feels well made and I think it will last a long time. Only time will tell, though, so I'm giving it 4 stars for now.

It works well
The original mount that came with the microphone stand broke, so I got this as a replacement. I was concerned that it wouldn't fit, but it did and it has worked vey well so far.

Save money ultimately by buying the good clips
This is the mic clip to get. Do not bother with cheaper mic clips, you will eventually end up throwing them out and buying these anyway. I've tried to get a deal, but the sad fact is that a decent mic clip isn't cheap cheap. NONE of these have broken on me in ~8 years of doing monthly concerts. I haven't stripped the brass threaded insert, they get stripped on the cheapo clips that are just plastic.

Fits most mics
Had tons of other mic clips that i acquired. Not all of them worked, these came with some shure mics I bought and they fit all of the mics I currently own so I bought more and replaced all of my mic clips with them.

Shure 58 series Mic Clip
Not much to write here...Its Shure's mic clip for their legendary SM58 and Beta58 mics (and probably more models). They are as sturdy as they come and fit their mics well. I have yet to break one, but we added another mic so I bought 2 to keep one for a spare just in case, or to add to another stand since we like them. If you have 58 mic and need a clip for a stand, buy this one.
