American Dream 90001 Scroll Rod Sticky Loop Tape, 5/8-Inch by 3-Yard

Exactly as pictured for this hard-to-find item. Just what I needed and came quickly.

I wrote a 5 star review for the 3/8 inch tape because it was a wonderful item. Way back in August, it is now January, I ordered the 5/8 inch tape because I thought it would be better for larger projects. This morning I was going to attach the tape to my 22 inch scrolls and it stuck to the aida cloth, but wouldn't stich to the scroll rod. I got out what I have left the thinner tape in it worked perfectly. The wider tape is smooth on the side that goes on the rod. It does not stick, someone forgot to put the Velcro on. Where the thinner one is rough to the touch, this one is smooth as the material on the rods. Since I bought this (two rolls) my return time has run out, so I'm out $24. I am not happy. I wonder if anyone else had this same problem.After looking at some of the reviews for this item I found I was in the wrong. I did not know that the tape that goes on the rod could be bought. I thought it just came on the rod and all that could be bought was the velcro strip that had to be affixed to the rod. Didn't even notice it said "rod" and "Fabric" on the package. I do wish they made it clearer in the description, but now I know, I hope everyone else is a lot smarter and observant than I am. Now I'm going to look at my old rods that had to have the fabric sewn on and see if I can make them all the same.

This is the perfect way to attach your needlepoint canvas to a scrolling frame. Once you're done, it's easy to remove to finish out your project. I have never seen this product except on Amazon. So happy I found it. This could work for cross stich or embroidery on a scrolling frame. Anything that needs to keep its shape.

It works easily and is great , no sewing

The package clearly states 3 yards. There was only 2 yards in my package. Very unhappy about this. A whole yard short!

This stuff is great! I'm one of those cross stitchers that can't stand having my canvas loose when I'm stitching. I've never liked the split-rod type of framework, and have always used the stitch-on method to attach my canvas to the rods. American Dream came up with this system so people like me would be able to switch to a longer or shorter rod with ease. This is very much like velcro, only they use a much finer loop and hook than your traditional velcro. One half of the tape is permanently attached to the rod, the other half is attached to the fabric. It holds your project canvas tight and doesn't slip. Changing rod sizes is as easy as pulling it off one rod, and attaching it to the other.The only down side to the whole system is you keep having to buy the side that attaches to the fabric. It is attached using extremely sticky tape, and it's a one-use-only type of tape. Each side of the tape is sold separately, so once you buy the side for the rods, you're done buying that side until you buy new rods.

This is a fantastic product! I have used on several projects. The only flaw I see is that ordering the correct items is difficult. The profuct that goes on the rods is Sticky Loop Tape. The Moulded Hook Tape is for the project. I sincerely wish the labels were different colors or clearly marked for better identification. even after using and loving the product, I still get confused. Otherwise, this does a fantastic job keeping my project firmly connected to the rods and is easily removed from the project once it is completed. The price is very reasonable. No reduction in stars for name confusion because the item is and does exactly as promised.
