Well Done
I am pleased with the product and have no affiliation with the manufacturer. Directions and accessories are spot on. I use it in my garage in Texas. Cools the 2 car garage well and I like the small remote. It also has controls on top of the unit. Standard stuff. Noise level is decent. Price paid was fair. I had to vent through a brick sided wall. Just be sure you are up for the task. I recommend this product.

Extremely loud clanking sound & terrible customer service
This item makes a very loud clanking sound. It is not a normal air conditioner sound. The sound is so loud that if I place it 10 feet away, and some one is sitting right next to me, I'd have to shout for the person to hear me. I called GE. After wasting 37 minutes of my time, I was informed, "GE doesn't service air conditioners." The representative also suggested I return the item to Amazon. The representative could have just informed me right at the start that GE doesn't service air conditioners instead of wasting my time. Now I have to waste more of my time going to a UPS store or Khol's to return this, wait for a refund, and order something else. One of the biggest problems is that I cut a specific opening in the wall for the item that will most likely not fit another air conditioner.Another thing is that it was originally delivered to the wrong address after I specified shipping instructions. This could have been easily stolen since the delivery person couldn't follow instructions. I am very disappointed for multiple reasons.

So far so good.
So far so good. I just installed it tonight so I may update this review later.Easy to assemble and install. It would have been nice if the exhaust mount fit the hose tighter and it had a second screw to keep the exhaust hose from moving on the window mount when you move the unit. I had to trim the sides of the exhaust mount because with just one end it wouldn't latch and with both ends it blocked the hole to where I couldn't connect the hose.

As advertised
I haven't used it for very long but so far so good! I looked at quite a few conditioners with heat and decided to go with this one primarily because of the GE brand name.

10,000 BTU GE version works better
It took a long time for this to ship, the box was beat up when it arrived but the contents seemed ok. While waiting for it to ship I purchased and used the 10,000 BTU version of this air conditioner from another store (it’s ultimate destination to a bedroom). The 10,000 version was easy to put together (once I figured out the top of the box lifts off the packaging after you cut the straps) and worked well cooling the area. The 14,000 version is a bit bigger, was difficult to wrangle the hose (kept unlocking and detaching one side or another and popping out of the brackets all together). And really was disappointing as it works nowhere near as well as the 10,000 did in the same area. I had high hopes, more power would equate to better cooling. I’ll keep using it to see if it gets any better and update if it does (especially since it would be hard to wrangle, repackage and return). This was definitely a case of more power being no better. Also I do agree the dry mode tends to feel cooler than the actual AC mode and is better at cooling a larger area.

Small but strong. main feature is no need to drain. has remote
I liked the small size and footprint, cools well enough. has remote, and doesn't need to be drained. evaporates the water out the air exhaust. the plastic parts may need tape to hold on to the unit. and the window side always need work, I use blue foam boards and clear tape for seals.
