Madame Endora's Fortune Cards Review: Nice cards, Easy to Read, Positive Messages - I've used these cards a few time now and like them very much. Madame Endora's Fortune Cards have a mystical feeling to them like Tarot but are much easier to read. The little book that comes with the deck gives a few layouts that work quite well and it is easy to come up with your own, too. The cards have nice art work that matches the meaning of the card - the meaning is printed on the card face and a more in-depth meaning is included in the book. I find it very easy to use my intuition to know what each card means in its position in the layout. The messages these cards give are very up-beat and positive. If you would like to try your hand at fortune telling and don't want to spend months or years learing the Tarot these are an excellent choice. Review: Easy to learn, beautifully illustrated! - I finally ordered this set of cards through desertcart and was not disappointed. This is NOT tarot, but work much the same way. It is a great way to introduce fortune telling into your life. The art is very nice. The images are easy to memorize, this is not really required, the cards speak for themselves.(literally, the meanings are written on the cards) I really admire the deck's artistry, especially the backs. It is as if the cards came from some time forgotten cabinet of curiousities. The feel is geared toward gothic style interpretation without totally leaning on the dark side. The deck's big brother Gothic Tarot is much more serious, as this deals with the classical archetypes directly. Madame Endora could almost be consided a new ager. There is nothing wrong with this at all! This deck could be easily used by children at a sleep overs and not cause too many nightmares. It is a great place to begin for the amature to turn professional.

Card stock is easily improved...it's no longer a reason to pass on this one.
Ok so yes, there are complaints about the card stock, because they are black cards and with very little use they get chipped looking. Found a fix! I edged the deck in black (as the side view of the deck is white) with a black archival ink Pigma brush pen. They don't chip anymore, they look better being all black, and it would be super easy to do any needed touch ups. So now that that's solved... This deck is blowing me away. I did a deck interview spread with it, like I would with tarot, and the answers I got from it were that its protective, honest/honorable, has my back and is at my service. It came across as very warm in personality. The feel of the deck is like stepping into an old school gypsy tent with low lighting and having her walk you through what she sees in her crystal ball. Also like having a good friend, who has the hook-up on the psychic stuff. When I first got it, I did not immediately click with it. I did a few readings that seemed vague, and so it sat on my shelf for over a year unused. I know, I'm sorry. But something drew me to it a of couple days ago and I decided to attempt to learn the underlying structure of how the deck system works. That's when it all fell into place. I read that LWB and got close to knowing the categories of all the cards inside and out. They are: *The Royal Court *The Realm of Fable *The Bestiary *The Treasury and *The Elements Each category covers different aspects of life. It's pretty comprehensive, and has many card meanings in it that you just will not find in any other deck. It works well with most tarot spreads as well I found out...that opens up a whole new world of uses as well. So yeah, I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a more peculiar and old-timey fortune telling deck. It's messages are striking and to the point. I'm very pleased to have rediscovered it, and it tells me we have a long journey together that will bring rewards. *Edit: There is a companion book to this deck that is sold separately. It took my readings with it to the next level, I highly recommend the book with extended meanings.

Fantastic Artwork and Easy to Use
Just got these yesterday. I was inspired by Kelley from The Truth In Story on YouTube and Instagram to purchase this deck and so glad I did. I truly love this deck. The messages are so clear that you almost don't need a guide book to read them. The guide book is gives a little more info on each card and some spreads. My first reading this morning with this deck was so spot on it was spooky. I love the artwork as well. The only thing that I did not like was the stark white edges. I got the idea to use ink to color the edges black... also an idea that I stole from Kelley. She used Tim Holtz Distress Ink color Black Soot. I tried that on the first 1/3 of the deck and found that they needed touched up several times because the coverage wasn't complete. I switched over to Micron brush pen and it worked like a charm for me.

Nice Cards- A bit Dark and to the point.
I love these cards and they were calling to me for a while. The images are great, though they do verge on the side of "dark" imagery throughout. The messages on the cards are helpful, though very blunt and to the point. I haven't had them for long, though I feel like I will be using them for a while. The art is nice thoughout- again, on the darker side, but well made and consistent throughout. There seems to be a lot of pattern cards though, so images with just a design rather than something more helpful like a person or animal. There are cards for the four elements and this is what I mean.- the cards for these and many others are like emblems. Some of the anatomy on the people seems off, but it is kind of endearing that way. It has its own charm in a way. The animals seem better in terms of artistic realism. Card size is nice- big, but not too big- a tarot size but a little thicker in width. Cardstock is nice- non-glossy, a bit thin, but they have a nice "feel". I only looked briefly at the guidebook, but I am guessing it helps a lot. All in all, a great little oracle card deck that has a "darker" side to it, a bit blunt, but accurate and easy to read if you are not too sensitive to darkness and blunt descriptions. Good for shadow work and readings. 48 cards I think.

I was really looking forward to receiving the the deck of cards since the artwork and the imagery and how it was utilised really spoke to me. To my dismay, I opened up the deck box to find a regular set of playing cards and a Post-It note within it. I don't know if the parcel had been tampered with since the box just only had a layer of magic tape over the top. Made a return promptly. Attached would be a reference of how the playing cards are supposed to look like versus what came to me in the mail.

Son unas cartas muy hermosas, imágenes muy bonitas. Aunque son un poco delgadas, se puede trabajar muy bien con ellas.

The cards are stunningly beautiful. I love the look and feel of them and they are a nice size to work with. The book is accompanied by the standard LWB ( Little White Book) with meanings/interpretations and sample spreads. I also think they are relatively easier to study with if you're a relative newbie to Cartomancy as the individual cards have just a few variations in meaning. The only suggestion I would make to a prospective buyer is to Handle With Care as the card stock lacks thickness and is a tad bit on the finer side ( Read : Susceptible to Wear and Tear).

This reminds me of a traditional fortune telling deck. It is highly accurate, has a nice blend of answers for many areas. The symbology is wonderful - also not too over or under done. I really like this deck. The only complaint I have is the card stock. It is flimsy and cheap. Which is surprising because it is not a super cheap deck. I would recommend this deck but maybe not to those who are rough when shuffling - the car stock probably won't hold it up that.
