I like it!
The media could not be loaded. So the Camera is built pretty well, it feels heavy and the housing is metal.I went ahead before I wired it up I connected everything without running and hiding the wires.I got a fuzzy picture and the camera wasn't turning on.I played around with some settings on my radio and eventually I got it to work. The Camera is pretty niceI haven't had to use night vision yet so I'm not sure how it will be at night.Wiring was simple my radio had a "R C In" which mean rear camera in and it had a wire that read "reverse signal" connecting the yellow connector to the rc in and the green wire to the reverse signal and it turned on.

High quality camera, decent night vision
I've had this camera on my car since last fall, and I really like the way it mounts, it's different from other cameras. I ended up gluing it to a ledge above my license plate, but of course you can drill a hole and mount it into the back of your car, and possibly mount it in a hole in your license plate if you don't want to drill a hole in your car, and your state allows that.Installation is easy, there is a quick connect plug so you can wire the camera and front wiring separately and plug it in towards the rear of the car. I have the positive 12v wire going to the reverse wire on my stereo which go to the reverse light and the black wire to ground so the camera is only powered when I am in reverse. Some people may want the camera on all the time, this is just how I did it. The camera turns on quickly and you can choose to have parking lines on the screen, or cut a small wire and those lines go away. You can also reverse the image by cutting a different wire. This camera is fairly waterproof and has made it through a fairly rough winter and the lens didn't fog up at all, which is an issue I've had with other backup cameras.Overall, I'm happy with this one. Quality is good considering it's the standard composite video. I'm not sure why car stereos don't have HDMI inputs yet. I'm sure that will come eventually, which will greatly improve the quality of these cameras. The lenses are good but the video signal can only output something like 525 lines of resolution over composite video so it looks blurry on larger displays. The 170 degree angle is nice. I prefer a wider angle for parking, you can see both sides of the bumper and all around your car so you which helps when backing up.

Why pay more for one of these? This one is great!
I installed this along with a Pioneer NEX head unit in my wife's 2012 Beetle, and so far, so good. She didn't even ask for a backup camera, but I saw this and thought for $12, why not? The build and image quality seem as good as the factory camera our other car. Night image is fine for the intended purpose of parking and not hitting stuff. The included wiring is excellent - the long line to run from the dash to the back includes not just the video cable, but also a 20 gauge insulated red wire to use for the install without having to run a separate wire. You can use the long wire to connect the head unit's reverse trigger wire to back-up light wire at one of the taillight assemblies (with the camera power wire going to the same wire). Or, if your head unit has some other way to tell the car is in reverse (like a wire in the harness for that purpose, or a dedicated back-up light fuse to tap into), you can use the long wire to power the camera directly from the head unit's 12V switched power line, so that the camera is on whenever the car is, and you can use it even when not in reverse if your head unit supports that.. Anyway, nice unit, - highly recommended. If it stops working prematurely, I'll come back to update.

Great camera for the price
While the camera's quality isn't the greatest, it works perfectly as a side view camera. I mounted two of them under each door mirror which serve as a blind spot monitoring system. Every time I put on the blinker, the corresponding camera displays I'm the headunit. Night vision is okay, but the installation was easy and the camera itself seems very well built (made of solid metal). For the price (I paid around $12), it's pretty hard to beat. As a side note, the cameras have only been installed and used for a few weeks. I'll update this review if they fail prematurely or I have other concerns.
