Common Core Standards Book: Volume 7 (K-8 Common Core Workbooks)

Arrived in a reasonable amount of time. As usual, fifth stars have to wait until I finish the book to ensure it is warranted. The book arrived in good condition, and it is interesting to see at what age certain skills begin to be required. I was surprised how much was already being expected of Kindergarteners, but there are a lot of early learning resources to aid this. The science standards don’t start until sixth grade, and seem to have some overlap with the literature standards. While the math standards have knowledge and skills to be demonstrated, the science standards seem to focus on whether a student can read a science text, graph, or laboratory instructions. This is not necessarily a criticism, good science allows new data to challenge previous assumptions. It is included in the early notes so that future buyers can make informed decisions, and is something I wish I knew before buying the book.
