Dear Lifver Company: You need to edit the description header for this item. It is NOT ceramic over carbon steel. Here is the header as copied from the Amazon item webpage: " LIFVER 9x13 Baking Dish, Brown Embossed Rectangular Lasagna Pan with Handle, Non-Stick Carbon Steel Rimmed Cookie Sheet Pan for Oven, 3.4qt Ceramic Casserole Dish for Cooking" I was really disappointed when this arrived. It's really nice, heavy & good looking casserole-baking dish-pan. Unfortunately the description is misleading. IT IS NOT ENAMELED STEEL! It's heavy ceramic. I checked it with magnets & it is NOT steel. They should not even use the words carbon steel in the description. That is very misleading. If I needed another non-metal casserole baking-dish/pan, I would've kept this because it is indeed quite nice. I wanted a casserole-baking dish/pan that I could use on stove top to brown or par-cook before placing in the oven to bake or roast or broil, and then to be able to take from oven to stove top to make gravy/sauce after baking or roasting meat/poultry/fish/vegetables. This is suitable for oven & microwave only. It is a beautiful casserole-baking dish & of generous size, but definitely not steel & not suitable to use on a stove top burner or flame.

Update- I just wanted to say that this is a gorgeous piece of bakeware and I really appreciate having such an attractive dish to set on the table with no need to transfer from a baking dish to a serving dish. The handles fit my hands well for a secure hold also. . I am moving away from non- stick cookware. I selected this enamel piece to go from oven to table in style. It is a very nice piece. I used it for Thanksgiving to bake and serve a broccoli casserole. It was very attractive. I have reheated it once. I moved it from the refrigerator to the countertop for 10 min., then put in a cool oven. I set the temperature for 200 for 15 min. then moved it to 300 for 30 min. This worked fine. I did not find any specific directions for reheating at the Lifver website, so I'm not sure what the tolerance is for moving from cold to hot; that's why I'm giving it 4 stars.
