Happy with it
I'm happy with this switch. The setup was very simple, I just turned it on, connected the cables and everything worked out of the box. I had to do 0 things besides connecting cables and turning it on :)Unfortunately I can't comment on 10 gbit speeds, as my devices are limited to 5 Gbits, but I get speeds close to 5 gbits (for example copying at 500+ Mbytes/s to an SSD drive in my NAS) and I think it's a very good result. I also know that this is one of the highest speed switches on the market, because it's been benchmarked & compared with other switches & routers on DongKnows website (he's a network expert that tests & reviews network devices).

Handles Everything! Home Office, Gaming, and Streaming Without Breaking a Sweat
I picked up this Ethernet switch to expand beyond just my home office, and it’s been outstanding. Between multiple high-def TVs, gaming systems, and my work setup, I needed something that could handle serious traffic and this hasn’t missed a beat. Even with teenage boys gaming online and streaming at the same time I’m working, there’s no slowdown, no throttling, and no bottlenecks. Speeds stay fast and consistent across everything. Setup was truly plug & play, and it’s been rock solid ever since. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a reliable, high performance switch that can keep up with a busy household

Works great!
Reliable fast connection to more devices than anybody needs! Works great!

Great multi-gig option
I bought this primarily for 10G connectivity between my Mac Studio and Synology NAS. The rest of my network is limited to gigabit connectivity, so 2x 10G ports was plenty for my needs.

Unreliable
I got this to have a 10-gig uplink from the basement to my office where the majority of my data goes between. I know the TRENDnet brand and usually trust it, so this seemed like an obvious choice. I am working with a single-wire CAT7 RJ45 setup coming from another name-brand switch that is tested working great when directly connected to my 10-gig NIC on my computer.Unfortunately, adding this in to the mix muddles things up. The connection still shows 10-gigabit duplex, but I am seeing a lot of intermittent dropouts in traffic for all devices connected downstream. I had 2 pings set up to visualize it; one to my router, the other to another device attached downstream from this switch. Sure enough during a work Zoom call, I saw a drop in connection. The device downstream still got pings, but my router (and therefore the internet) was unreachable for a good 10 seconds. Then suddenly, it was back up and running just fine. This happens about once per hour or so. The traffic dropout is definitely between this switch and my LAN uplink.UPDATE: I was within the return window so I replaced with a new unit. EXACT same issue, if not more frequent now with the new unit. Its as if the attenuation in the 10-gig receiver port is not strong enough or something. Unfortunately I will be looking for a different solution and returning this.

Great little switch
This has increased my transfer speeds from minutes to seconds. So that is a great thing. Awesome

Good Affordable Switch for 10GB + 2GB but two totally different versions
This review is for the TRENDnet TEG-S762 switch with 2 x 10G ports and 4 x 2.5 ports. I ordered two and got two totally different versions of the switch. The version pictured on Amazon is the larger version with LEDs beside each network port connector. I believe that is an older version. On that version, the LEDs are bright and easily visible from a distance. That version also has a smooth finish and the "TRENDnet" logo silk screened in white on the top of the switch. The ports on this version are numbered with the 10GB ports as 1 and 2. The 2.5 GB ports are numbered 3 through 6.The other version that I believe is newer has the LEDs behind the front panel on the left. The LEDs are smaller, dimmer and cannot be seen at a distance. The LEDs are arranged in two rows and three columns which makes it harder to tell which LED goes with which port. The ports on this version are numbered with the 10GB ports as 5 and 6. The 2.5 GB ports are numbered 1 through 4. This newer version has a rough textured finish and is smaller. The TRENDnet logo is embossed (recessed) into the top but the same black color as the rest of the top. This is the best version if you don't want bright LEDs or want a smaller size. Both versions use a 12v 1A power supply with a 5.5mm x 2.1mm (center positive) connector. The power cord is about 6 ft. I had to use an extension cable which is why I mentioned the connector. If you get an extender cable, make sure that it supports at least 1A at 12v, or 12W at 12v.I have noticed no difference in the operation of the two versions, and both of them only get slightly warm, not hot during long periods of use. This is a great inexpensive switch if you need a mixture of 10GB and 2.5 GB ports. Only time will tell if the switch models are reliable or they will eventually fail.I recommend NOT getting a switch with 10G SFP ports and using 10GBase-T SFP modules. I found that those modules all use about 2.5W of power and get extremely hot. So far none of the switches with SFP have adequate cooling for the 10GBase-T SFP modules. If you must use one of those switches, get an extender cable with an external cage, and consider attaching a heat sink to the external cage. This TRENDnet switch avoids that problem entirely and provides two 10G-Base-T ports that remain cool.
