The mat itself certainly doesn't look like the photo. I thought it would be relatively smooth, but instead it's a multitude of tufts, all of which are soft (which is fine for the feet), but which all absorb water. Also, the tufts started falling off the mat and onto the shower floor the first time I used it. At the end of a shower, if you want to dry out the mat on a bar in the tub, you'll hardly be able to lift it. It weighs a ton. I tried to squish the water out in the tub, and also stamped on the mat to force some of the water down the drain, but to no avail. Maybe you're supposed to leave the mat on the floor of the tub and let it dry that way. But I don't think that would allow it to dry out within a day or so. Then you'd be stepping on a cold, wet mat the next time you took a shower. When I got the mat on a bar in my bathtub, it took more than two days to dry out. If there's some magic way to make this work right, they should have included instructions. Meanwhile, I've let mine dry and am putting it in line for my next trip to Goodwill.
