Terrible Instructions
The beads work pretty well, but the instructions are terrible. On the white beads, it's easy to tell which side is the front and which is the back. On the black beads, it's impossible to tell what you're looking at. So, of course, they do all of their instructions with the black beads. You can mostly figure out the process yourself, though. With the exception of the double loop thing. For the little strings (think high A for ukulele or high E for guitar), you're supposed to do a double loop. In the instructions it tells you to repeat step 4, which, of course, is impossible because you're not in the same situation. And, of course, they don't provide a picture of what a double loop looked like. I don't know if I did that part right. Without the double loop, my A string came apart. Oh well, this seems like a good product, but the instructions are seriously awful. I'm kind of thankful I mostly have Lanikai Ukes that don't need beads.

These are so worth it
Won't restring another tie bar without these. Would love them to make a set that is five string capable

very functional but poor value for the money
nicely formed, good fit works well ...but... unfortunately, i was able to get more information about using beads to tie off the uke string.... several uke blogs finally yielded the use of small glass or jewlery beads for less than $5 (dozen...can't help but feel the sting of a ripoff for these at double digits....

Look nice. Appear to work. A little pricey.
I bought two sets. The instructions are good and they appear to work. They look nice. They sit well tucked at the bridge. I think they’re a bit pricey. I’m a little concerned about the of the end strings at the tie ends. First try they ended up pointing up and caught my strumming/picking arm. I adjusted the angle of the tie and the end was is now pointing toward the instrument. I trimmed them very short so they don’t ruin the finish of my ukulele and I’m hoping that short end stays and keeps the string in place. So far so good.

Looks Great!
FYI: these are really easy to use, very clear instructions . . . put together in no time! I highly recommend
