The best there is at what it does
I've been using this for over 20 years. It is the best hair product I have ever used and it also works in beards better than any beard product I have ever purchased. It conditions, shines, smells good, looks great, everything you could want, unless you are looking for something to keep it firmly in place. You can spike up hair with it if your hair is short.

Easy to Use and Most Reliable Control Paste Hair Pomade
I have fine textured hair with a short pixie cut hairstyle and Aveda control paste is my number one pomade. I apply a small amount to the palm of my hand and then use it to style out my dry hair into little pieces. This paste allows me to position my hair exactly like I want. The paste has a small amount of stickiness to it but you want that so that it holds your hair in place. It has a pleasant smell and this pomade last a long time. It's so easy to use and keeps my hair from being frizzy and is held in place all day. At the end of the day it washes out with ease. I highly recommend this product.

This product was able to help my really stiff gray hair with a cowlick actually look manageable. Didn't look stiff. Would prefer to have it not smell at all

Great product and smells great
Great product and keeps you hair with just enough hold. Kind of feels like seasalt hair when you're at the beach (just dirty enough to have hold :)... and he smell is wonderful.

good holding and styling product
love this product. Have been using it since the 1990's. It does not hold like a hairspray but does not leave my hair stiff like a spray either. It allows for great styling and holds the look quite good.

Easy to use but this paste doesn’t hold the hair in place.

Holds well and not sticky
I have wavy hair that I straighten daily. I use this to help keep it straight. Does the job without being sticky and heavy. I live in a very humid area and still works great. I was hesitant about buying it because of the reviews given that it stinks and smells like Vicks. I find that it has a very slight minty smell but nothing bad. Actually smells kinda nice.
