bye bye mosquitos and house flies!!
This was a late night, i cant sleep so i shop, purchase. I DID want something to rid us of our mosquito invasion. I just didnt read the "indoor use" part in the description. I thought Id have to send it back when I received it but decided to give it a try.Yay! I actually have used it on our porch, but in a darker area, as it says no competeing light sources. I mostly use it inside though for when the mosquitos or flies sneak in the doors. They drive my poor dog crazy! I think we have put an end to that! The house fly catching was a huge bonus!!!It also purifies the air particles. Another thing I dont remember reading. Cant hate a purchase that does MORE for the same money.Ive only been using this for a few days, but I have no complaints. (And a few less mosquitos and one less fly) I like that it has different suction modes and runs very quietly. Clean up is fairly simple. It just twists apart for clean out. Easy rinse, dry, replace. They include a little brush, too.

Looks Nice but does it Work?
This bug trapper looks pretty nice from the outside. The material quality is one step above cheaply plastic. This unit is really light in weight may be why it feels cheap. There are 3 suctions powers, strong suck, normal and sleep. The strong suck setting feels like a weak suck as the vacuum is very minimal. It could be that this is the way this thing works with very weak suction power and nice purple lights to attract the bugs when the lights are off. It's been 3 days now that I have used this bug trapper powered on 24 hrs a day. Within the 3 days there were about 2-3 gnats. That's about it. I don't know it it works or as way too little for 3 days straight. Would be nice if it had a small zapper near the purple light and as the bugs get zapped, the vacuum sends it down into the bottom tray. I gave it 3 stars because the purple light looks nice in the dark. 2-3 STARS FOR ME

Can this 220 volt unit be operated on standard american 110 volts?
The product information gave no specification at to the proper voltage to use to operate the product. In the USA the standard voltage to use is 110 volts. One can get 220 volts, but your standard "house" current is 110 volts. Now I see on the product packaging that the Rated voltage if 220. So now what do I do now? - Send it back? Throw it out? or hire and electrilcian to create a special 220 volt line specifically for this unit?

The light too weak and didn't catch anything
I like the idea that this won't create a threatening zapping noise as my dog is absolutely frightened by the noise. However the blue light attracting bugs is soooo weak that it didn't catch anything (literally zero) over the few weeks we owned it. Meanwhile I got bit by mosquitoes three times while this zapper is on.

Electronic bug killer
It does a great job on these mighty mosquitos. Within a few minutes we seen a drastic decrease in bugs. We are in a zika virus area we need a great bug killer. We set it up about knee high away from our sitting area.

Save your money. I've been using it a month ...
Save your money. I've been using it a month now & it hasn't caught the 1st bug. Still have a fly & mosquito problem. It doesnt have a return option so I guess I'll throw it away & find something else.

Don't waste your money. Just buy a real bug zapper, not a useless trap.
useless. the mosquitoes fly right past it. I've had it running for weeks, not a single mosquito has gone in the trap at the bottom.
