The feet of the base are made of hollow plastic and the aluminium pole has to be fed through flexible plastic teeth the keep it in place, then secured with more plastic.The motor itself works well but as other reviews have stated its very heavy, far too heavy to be secured with plastic parts.Had to dismantle one for storage and the threads for the securing bolt were already worn away with just one use.Shame as if it had parts made of the correct materials this could be a quality product, but you can get more secure ones with metal feet and safer poles for around £7 cheaper here on amazon.

I wasn't exactly expecting it to be made out of carbon fiber for the price, but wow is it made of the cheapest plastic possible. It feels very flimsy. It's working and nothing has broken but I question how long its going to last.The instructions are not particularly clear so I could see some people struggling with the assembly, its not complicated, the instructions just aren't very good. (it literally never tells you to actually connect the fan motor to the stand for example).Mine also came with a massive hole ripped into the box, fortunately nothing was damaged inside (or missing), but its still pretty disconcerting to have a package arrive with gaping damage to it.3 stars cause its actually working and does what you'd expect, its a passable product but not one I'd particularly recommend over other options.

Do not purchase this fan. Its flimsy and for the price you would expect a more sturdy fan. The stand is bent and keeps moving to one side. The button at the back broke when I lifted it up (without force) as I wanted the fan to oscillate to move side to side but it broke and came off.Advisors are the worst. I'm on the phone for a full 40 minutes and they decide to cut me off after not finding a solution to help me. (It was a simple thing to do). They talk over you and don't listen. I was already angry when one advisor told me there was no other option, then another advisor I spoke to the SAME day told me i could get a replacement. THEN I spoken to a manager and he told me both advisors should not have said that. What a JOKE

Our usual tower fan (45W) couldn’t handle the recent July 2022 heatwave so we decided to buy a bigger fan. This floor fan is very sturdy and provides excellent home air circulation — at 23C I could feel its effect 2.5m away on its lowest setting. It is not the quietest equipment so I will continue use my old tower fan for bedtime but I’m pretty sure this floor fan will make future heatwaves more bearable! It is certainly easier to clean the fan blades than my tower fan!
