Brad Thor doesn't dissapoint.
Scot Harvath, Navy SEAL, turned Secret Service Agent, turned secret squirrel, turned private sector secret squirrle with a govt contract, is back, and continues to kick ass and take names. I can officially say I have now read all the books in order, from Lions of Lucerne to the most recent Act of War. These books are real page turners. If you like action adventure thrillers, look no further than Brad Thor. There are plenty of interesting plot twists, and never really any boring parts to speak of. The action is fast enough to not want to put the book down, yet believable enough that it makes you think, "this could really happen." Brad Thor does his research, and it really shows in his writing. My only complaint is that there is a lot of repetitiveness in explaining some background stuff in relation to who Scot Harvath and where/how he came to be where he is at in the current book. The one benifit to this is you don't necessaruly have to read them in order, although they will make a lot more sense if you do.In closing start by picking up Lions of Lucerne and continue on, Full Black is the third to last book in the Scot Harvath series, and there are 12 books so far. I'm looking forward to the next installment "Code of Conduct" can't wait!

Harvath is back and seeking justice and revenge
We last left Scot Harvath and friends with a problem. The terrorist they had worked so hard to bring to justice was assassinated as they tried to hand him over to the CIA. That left a bit of anger in Scot towards those who rained on his parade. We start now with Scot having done the hard work of tracking down another terrorist cell that might provide answers for who and how the sleeper cells in the U.S. are doing their work. They infiltrate Chase into the group and are moving in for the take down. But a small problem happens, the leader of the cell is smarter than they think and he lays a trap for the team that is moving in. Scot is left to pick up the pieces again and this time he is not going to loose.Scot and the Carlton Group are working very hard to find the head of the terrorist group and put an end to the violence once and for all. But instead they have only stirred up the anger of James Standing, the man behind the scenes. So, Standing unleashes his terrorist cells to do their dirty deeds throughout America. Now the race is on. Will thousands of innocents die or will Scot and the Carlton Group intervene and save the day?During all of this there is another sub story running. A Hollywood Producer, Salomon is putting together a documentary that will shed light on the true agenda of the billionaire James Standing, the man who wants to destroy capitalism and bring on socialism. Standing sends a group of Russian Spetnaz troops to take out the production team. But Luke Ralston, former Navy Seal, steps in and saves Salomon from the plot. Now Luke sets out to find out who is behind the attempt.Luke and Scot will cross paths as it turns out they are searching for the same man. Unfortunately Thor does not develop Ralston's character as much as Scot Harvath. He doesn't include Luke in much more of the action. Which I think is a bit sad.But the information that Luke Ralston turns up is the information that is needed by the Carlton Group to put all of the pieces of the puzzle together. Now the race is on. Can they stop what Standing has started? Can they bring Standing to Justice? Can they save the world from a the 'destiny' that Standing feels it deserves? The book is good and I read it through in two days. But I felt that Brad Thor did get a bit preacher in a couple of spots. I think he could have given us a bit more action and saved some of the preaching on the difference between socialism and capitalism. That said, I enjoyed the book and think if you have enjoyed Brad Thor's other works you will enjoy this one.

Never Ending Action and Drama
Quite an intriguing story within the story. Fortunately the two stories connected and became the main story as too many characters can cause the story to become convoluted. Thanks

Full Praise for Full Black!
Brad Thor's latest installment in the Scot Harvath series deliveres everything his fans have come to expect and more. Lots of loose ends in the web of intrigue are tied together as new webs are spun. Of course Thor pulls you into exciting and exotic locations as you follow Harvath through his quest for answers to a complicated and devious plot to bring terror and carnage to American soil. Somehow, the terrorists are staying a step ahead of Harvath's team and they are paying a heavy price for it. The only solution is for Scot to go full black. At the same time, an attempt is made on the life of a well known Hollywood producer by an elite foreign hit squad. Luckily, having the right friend in the right place at the right time foils the attempt. But why would anyone go to such measures to quiet such a famous person? Until the answers can be found, the only solution is for the producer and his savior to also go full black. As the description says, this is the darkest and most intriguing installent yet and it does not disappoint. It is full of action, suspense, and little known facts that make you feel like you are privy to a hoard of top secret documents. All this is woven into an adventure ride that leaves you wondering when the ride stops and tomorrows headlines will begin.

High degree of realiy
While reading this book, I kept on thinking if, describing the caracter James Standing, Brad hadn't actually a certain George Soros in mind? I was both thrilled and chilled by the high degree of nearly prophetic insight in what is going on in today's (2018) world, in reading this book, written in 2011. Seeing what is going on in the world, and particularly in the USA, I was thrilled to read some people at least seem to see what is really going on, and chilled to realize to what some or capable of, what we probably still can expect, and what we're up to... May people wake up to the raw reality of what Islam is up to! This is, by the way, the single 'weak point' in this book: Brad talks about a 'peaceful' Islam, which is horrified by terror. However, the reality is, unfortunately, that the terrorist ARE the real Islam, and are exactly following their leader, both in his ways, in his caracter and horrific ideology. There is no 'peaceful' Islam (just as there is no violent Christendom, by the way!), but there are many, many muslims who do not know what 'their' religion actually represents, as they only listen to what their iman tells them. If he's a peaceful man, that'll be the way he'll interpret things for them. If he isn't, it's a different story!

Thought provoking and action packed
I have been listening to this series of books on audible but I had no credits and no whispersync was available so I read it on kindle in on holiday in one day and most of a night. It is nearly impossible to put down once the story gets going. Quite a complicated plot involving a Chinese plan to bring down the US being subverted by way of Islamic terrorists by a billionaire who wishes to make the world a fairer place and establish a socialist/communist global government. However this means the total destroying of capitalism and democracy. Scot Harvath and the team he works with have to uncover the plot, the protagonists and fight to defeat them with any means possible. There are preachy parts where we are treated to a denouncement of political correctness, liberal inability to see the true danger of Islamic fundamentalism, and the inaction of authorities in addressing the threat and an interesting interview between a journalist and the billionaire where his beliefs are put under the microscope. All that aside this is an action packed story with some thought provoking content.

Couldn’t put it down.
Enjoyed the book but found things eating a bit same old same old. But with different twists. Good to see one character return as a cohort now. Another character disappear as I thought would. Other characters just forgotten about that were a main part of the previous books even realising Scot had moved forward and onto other jobs. Still a good read. Read in one day as I was intrigued with it. Late at night ready to hit the bed and the last line had me grabbing for the next book to begin reading. What a cliff hanger to be left on.

Very litle time left.
A very good idea of the sort of things that may happen in a not too distant future if the two main ideologies do not find a way to live together.
