So far good battery life, an it keeps the time

It's a easy to use watering timer. What more can I say. I have mine hooked up to a container irrigation system for when I am away from home. I don't plan to rely on this (and my irrigation system) when I am at home and can water. If it lasts the season, I can see recommending it to anyone who needs one.Update 5/12: I've had this in use a couple of weeks and have had issues where it stops working if it thinks good batteries are dead. If this keeps happening, I'll return it and get one from the store.

Works as advertised.

Just set up a watering system and finally opened the box. The battery compartment does not hold the batteries in place. I had to put pieces of plastic inside so that the batteries would not move around. If no extra plastic, the batteries would not stay connected to the terminals and there was no power. Also, when attached to the water tap, the unit leaked. Had to use nearly a full roll of plumbing tape to stop the leak. Don't buy this product.

It works great with fresh batteries. but batteries only lasted a couple weeks and the unit stopped functioning (as designed) but took early. It disabled the water when the battery indicator dropped one bar. I changed the batteries and last for 2-3 days. Relying on it for animals so returning because unreliable.

I bought this timer about three years ago, and it has worked great. Only required battery change every year. But as the years went on, it started to leak at the hose connection at the bottom where you just simply push it in. And at the top where it connects to the outside tap, plastic has cracked and leaks. I cannot fix the issue as I cannot find any replacement parts. I cannot leave the water tap on, it leaks. Wasting water. So after 3 years of using this timer (I have 2 timers, one up front and one in the back of my house. Both have the same issue) I have to replace both timers totally and I am not happy about that.

Easy to use interface. Good price for the features. The problem is in its reliability. Ordered two and had to immediately return one for a replacement. One would never open its valve for a flow of water in either the auto or manual mode. Just over a year and now one of them will not even turn on, so one out of three is a working unit.

Used this timer in a small greenhouse. It occasionally got sprayed with water and less than two months after purchasing, it no longer works. The LCD panel and battery compartment both have water in them. Timer worked great until it stopped working. This is definitely NOT waterproof as the pictures show.
