Ok travel guide
Difficult to find updated travel books for Colombia. This one is ok, but dates pre-pandemic. National Geographic guide seems better.

Not up to Frommer's Guide Books
I knew the "EasyGuide to Columbia", was an older book, somewhat out of date. However, having used Frommer's for years I thought that despite the date, it would still be a valuable resource for background information. Even though I chose not to use the dated book for current restaurants or valuations, I found this book to be lacking compared to other Frommer's guides. I agree with other reviewers that the itineraries were short-sighted. I found hotel recommendations in various price ranges to be sorely lacking and, I sincerely believe, the demographic that buys most Frommer's Guides are not into spending the majority of their first new country visit, in a National Park. Much more information is needed about the cities, and many of the usual details were non-existent. Having traveled throughout the world, I could probably write a more comprehensive travel guide than I saw in this book. I will never give up on Frommer's as a travel guide. However, I cannot recommend this "Columbia" edition.

EASY is the optimum word in the title.
Pretty comprehensive. Concentrates on key areas without a lot of "fluff". Pages easy to disassemble so you can pack what you need in a suitcase rather than the entire book.

Great for a first visit
Did everything expected of it. Covered all of the major tourists sights. It was an enjoyable easy read. Chock full of good solid facts.

very stripped down basics in a lightweight book
it's lightweight and provides some basic info but not much detail and the lack of pictures and not many maps make it hard to relate to the content.
