Fine clock, once you've figurd out how to set it. Setting it is a bit of a struggle, but you ll get used to it

Let's start with looks. This clock is a sleek, subtle design. I went for the green colour which is perfect for me because it doesn't stand out. I wanted a clock that was functional but I could leave out on the table without upsetting my partner. This really fits the bill. In terms of functionality, it has everything one could ask for from a chess clock. You can easily set the time to count down from. Leaving both players with the same time seems fairly standard practice, but the clock also allows for differences in player's allocated time. I suppose this is useful when you have players of different skill levels when trying to give one a handicap or leg up. The build quality is fantastic. Although made of a lightweight plastic (could be weightier), the part that you interact with the most (the rocker switch) is incredibly satisfying to press. It makes a lovely but subtle thud as it comes down and really brings a new dimension to ending your turn. One downside is that no batteries are included.
