Great for SUP/kayaking
I love water sports in the summer and can often be found SUPping or kayaking. I have been displeased with every whistle I had found over the years, as they don't always work well if wet. These ones, however, still make noise when wet! I tested it out while having to do a roll in my kayak and my "help" cry was heard by folks down the bank. I love having a set, as I have already gifted them to friends joining me on an adventure to make sure they are safe, too.

Loud
I've not done comparisons of different models of emergency whistles, however I was quite surprised at how loud these were. I am often in the woods, or on trails, and having a means of getting people's attention is always a good idea.

Loud, but not as much as the Windstorm.
Rinse, hang loop around your neck (preferably on backpack within arm's reach instead -- I always get paranoid that I might get hung by the lanyard if the whistle gets caught against the tree while running) and have it ready to use in case of an emergency.Whistles loud and distinctively, but not as loud as my Windstorm. Does not rust.My son and I each keep one with our life jackets when out paddle boarding

grandkids and outdoors
our grandkids ate about those ages who could enjoy camping out but still too young to be left unattended. we are now training them to use this whistles to get attention for those just in case moments. i am glad that this pack comes in 5s which is plenty; for their parents too. ! perfect for when the oldies go hiking too!recommended for any emergency situation.

Great to place with ever life vest or in a vehicle
These emergency whistles are loud and light. I wanted them for each life jacket we use. They are lightweight, and the lanyard is long enough to attach and stage out of the way. No complaints. The amount you receive for the money is good.

Sounds "Trainy," about 110 decibels, lightweight
The media could not be loaded. For the price, why not? Give them to friends, hang them on multiple backpacks or your life jacket. I just got back from a 100 mile canoe trip and wanted some whistles to take when I went. I'm glad I had them too because even in this day and age we had zero cell phone service for a week straight. Thankfully we didn't need to use them, but I feel like we could have gotten help if needed, so as they say, "it's cheap insurance." I like these whistles. They're very lightweight, maybe cheap feeling, but they work. Check out the video of me using them. I think they're worth getting ! Have fun adventuring.
