Alan Parsons stands the test of time
Whether it is this album by Alan Parsons or just about any of the other albums produced under "The Alan Parsons Project" I can always count on a few cuts from each album hitting the sweet spot for musical composition and unbelievably good production and mixing. Parsons is a genius and brings out the best from everyone who is in the band for that album. While Eye in the Sky and Turn of a Friendly Card are by two favorites, there is something I can enjoy on any one of his albums. This one is no exception. I can put this album away for years and bring it back out again and savor every song all over again. They never get old.

One Of The Originals In DTS
Check out the line-up of musicians on this album. You already have great potential. Although this album was released in 1997 when DTS was fairly new, it still manages to have captured all of the qualities that DTS is famous for. Most of the songs have some kind of DTS 'trick', such as a fighter plane flying through the speakers or the sounds of a forest 'clicking and chirping' away before and during an acoustic song ("Blue Blue Sky"). The bass is not overpowering on this set, but the range and dynamics of the sound separation are wonderful and the mood is serene throughout. This album was made intentionally for DTS, unlike the newer albums that are recoded, which makes for a fantastic experience. If you have the DTS system, there are not too many choices (yet) of famous albums, but ones I can recommend are, "Moody Blues; Days of Future Passes", "Eric Clapton; 461 Ocean Blvd" and any film or rock concert after 2000 that was recording in DTS.

Great Alan Parsons CD
I have been a great fan of the Alan Parsons Project music, so to complete my collection I purchased this CD, I have everything that Alan Parsons has had anything to do with, aka Pink Floyd and Beatles recordings, so I am very happy with this offering, and now since the Alan Parsons Project is no long producing under that name, Alan Parsons carries on the same theme true to his great prior projects and producing talent

A high point of Parsons' long career (and style)
The usual hi-fidelity, theme-oriented work at which Parsons excels, but the songs here are put together better than most of his material. I have the entire Alan Parsons (Project) catalog except 'Eve' and "Stereotomy" and the vanilla live album; this one and 'Try Anything Once' get played more than any others.

oh so good......
DTS makes this music roar from the speakers! What I liked most about the "brochure" that came with the CD was the explanation about how the remastering process took place as well as a caution to those not using a dedicated subwoofer and how it could damage the speakers if played too loudly. I have Klipsch speakers so I cranked it up and had no problem along those lines. This was another great Alan Parsons' release. From start to finish, you are simply caught up in the music and ride right along. The instruments coming in different locations, the clarity, it makes one heck of a listen-to. I would like to see more Alan Parsons' material done in this manner. From the brochure listing, only a handful of recordings have utilized this system, this is the only one I would buy as the others are not what I would usually listen too. To hear Eve, The Turn of A Friendly Card, and Tales of Mystery and Imagination using DTS would be a small slice of heaven here on earth. How about it guys, up for the challenge? This is the best $30-40 dollars I've spent in some time for a piece of music without it being a live show. There isn't too many new copies of this still out there so you had better act fast and get it while you can. You won't be disappointed at all.

Best Parsons Solo Album
Probably Parson's best solo album. Very easy listening and walks that nice fine line between Progressive Rock and Progressive Pop that his earlier albums in the Project did, like I Robot, Eye in the Sky, etc.Highly recommend.

More please
Parsons has always been one to make the most of available technology. Although not one of my favourite albums - top being Turn of a Friendly Card, he has made the most of 5.1 effects and comes up with a clear, if perhaps a little gimmicky album. Lets have more in this format (or SACD) from this man.

One of Parsons finest moments
This concept album stands up to anything Alan Parsons did earlier under the 'Project' moniker. Nice laid-back sound with lots of interesting layers. Great to listen to on a good set of speakers or headphones. Puts you in a nice green field laying on your back with not a care in the world watching puffy cotton-ball clouds float by.
