Works on mac But now how you think and that's good!
I have a Macbook Pro 2018 so this review is based on that.So when I ordered this thing I was expecting another USB2 Displaylink adapter. It is not. This unit works in a rather smart way I did not expect. Once plugged into your Mac it will detect as a network adapter and issue you a basic IP. Once done you will find a new AirPlay device on your network ( Note this is not standalone AirPlay adapter you need to have the USB plugged in to get the correct network). Once all this is done you can connect to it and use it as an extra screen in duplicate or extend mode. This prevents any driver issues or instability. The ONLY bad thing about this that when you reboot you MAY (but not always) have to unplug the USB side for a moment and plug it back in for it to detect. This is a very minor issue. In the end for the price and feature set ( you can make changes via a web portal ) I could not think of a better nearly fool proof adapter.4.5 out of 5 stars. It would be a full 5 if I did not have to unplug the USB some times.

Almost but not quite
I wanted to give this a 5 star because it is almost working as it should BUT.... The device installs easily enough. It does require you to use their own software to run and configure the device rather than the industry standard DisplayLink. Probably so they would not have to pay the DisplayLink ransom price. The problem is their software is running on average of 40% CPU. Just about as bad as Google Chrome. If you intend to run anything other than maybe one tab in Chrome it will cause the average PC to slow down. It also has a bad habit of muting your speaker randomly. For a lot of people, it will seem like it is running slowly or your mouse is always having to catch up. I am going to return it but I truly hope they work out these bugs as they are at a great price point.

Great product, works great, easy install
I always wanted to connect my 2011 MacBook Pro to my Sony 32" SmartTV. However, for a long time I was unable to do that until I purchased this converter. In past, I purchased 2 other converters, but none of them worked, so I gave up. But recently I wanted try one more time and after reading some of the reviews and recommendations decided to purchase this one in particular. I'm really happy that I did because it finally worked. I'm now looking 32" screen instead of 15" and that's a great improvement. I even set it to dual and non-mirror screen. Like I said, I'm really happy!

Read This If Using With a Projector!
So my friends got me a projector for my birthday since I had mentioned wanting one and dont have a TV in my bedroom. I was excited to watch movies and shows using my new projector but I needed to connect to my laptop and that's were this adapter came in. I got this HDMI to USB adapter with the hope to start streaming using my new projector. The first day I only watched YouTube videos and it worked great. The image and sound quality was great but a few days later I wanted to watch a movie on Hulu and the sound would come on but not the image; that is cause I need to get one of those firesticks of chrome cast machines in order to actually stream. Ive never used one of those before and didn't know what they were fro but now I understand. The adapter works great just not for the purpose I need it to and it's smarter to invest the money I spent on the adapter into a chromecast so I could actually watch videos using my projector like I initially intended to. Hope this helps anyone out there avoid the same mistake I made.

Only works occasionally
The concept of this product is great. It allows you to connect an additional display to your computer through the USB port. Specially, I have a 2020 M1 MacBook Air, which only has support for a single external display, but with this adaptor you can connect an additional display to your system (although you will also need a USB-C hub or a USB-C to USB adaptor to use it).Unfortunately, more often than not, I would turn my computer on only to see the default "go here to pair this with your computer" display on the screen, rather than actually seeing anything on the screen. On the Mac, you go into the Airplay and you tell it you want to display your screen on the Lemorele adaptor, but unfortunately most of the time my system didn't even detect it so I was not able to use it.After struggling a bit with it, I decided to return the product because it just doesn't work reliably with my system. I ended up buying a more expensive product from a different vendor which works perfectly with my system.

Works to add another monitor (1080) to Mac Mini M1
If you have a mac mini m1 and need more than 2 monitors, this is it. We have a mac mini at church and needed 3 monitors (using propresenter we needed 1 for control, 1 for stage display and 1 for screen). The mac m1 has a limitation of only allowing 2 monitors (1 hdmi and 1 USB-C). Using this, I now have 3 monitors on a mac mini m1. Works perfect!

Must have for an older computer!
I have a 2017 Macbook Air and there is only one video out port, but I wanted to set up double screens. Well, I came across this device and I am so glad that I did; for the price, you can't beat it. The only issue I have is that I have to connect through Airplay which disconnects from time to time. I then have to disconnect from airplay and then reconnect. It is mildly annoying, especially when I'm working on something, but it's better than just having one screen. Most USB to HDMI cables do not work for Macbook but look no further if this is what you need.

Solid price for solid product.
Finally!!! A cable that will connect my 2011 MacBook Air to an extra screen! The cable is thick, snaps right in and voila! Extended screen! I’m not sure why people are complaining about the “airplay” component because once you plug the cable in the extension automatically downloads within 5 seconds and all you have to do is follow the directions. Pretty simple. Plug in. Follow directions. Extended screen.Side not this extension looks better for my Mac screen quality vs. work PC and the extension I had to get for that one!
