Truth and Grace Memory Book One: Ages Two to Nine (Truth and Grace Memory Books)

Perfect resource
I love the outlay and variety this book gives. It is more than just the catechism questions and answers and actually gives general recommendations based on age, which is a bit helpful to me as a mom with limited experience or knowledge on kid development or education in that sense. SOLID. It is so important we ground our children in the truth of God, principles of scripture etc. I’m thankful and blessed to have taken up a random online recommendation (in a Facebook group) of this resource. Then I found out a pastor of a church we recently attended uses it with their kids, a popular reformed “influencer” uses it as well etc. I would say there’s nothing I’ve come across like this lol but I don’t know exactly what other resources are available. What I can say is if you genuinely desire to raise your children in Christ and they are young, look no further. For reference my 3 and 5 year old have learnt 24 questions. My two year old solidly answers the first question but to be honest his vocabulary is pretty limited still and he doesn’t have that many sentences to say in general (mostly solo words). My husband came up with a list of scripture that he has memorized and I’ve added the scripture memorization in this book to our personal list. Thus far the choices are great foundations. And the kids are able. It is incredible how much they can learn at such young ages, so what better thing to direct their attention on. The answers are simple and easy. The flow of the questions are great. And there’s been a lot of conversation started, applications in every day life and even just general connections to Bible stories they have read or listen to.TLDR 10/10 recommend to raise your kids in the Lord.

Amazing resource
I recommend this book a thousand times over! Amazing resource and it’s perfect for a morning time review over breakfast. My son loves learning the songs and is memorizing scripture I didn’t think he’d be able to. All about repetition. So much truth taught in the catechism part as well. Highly recommend!

Practical Guide
I use this every day with my toddler - whether it’s just to reference hymn lyrics or Bible verses, or to discuss a question and review. We spend about 2-5 minutes a few days each week using this book during our 10 minute morning time and my daughter already has 2 verses memorized plus the doxology and that is just from her listening to me say a verse each day or a song each day until she feels confident enough to take over and show me that she knows it! It is truly amazing to see. Even if she doesn’t fully understand what she is saying, she will one day be able to recall these verses and add new meaning to the words as she grows. I am so grateful for this book that has given me a starting point to teach my young daughter the foundational truths of God. I highly recommend!

So helpful!
As we continue to disciple our child more and help him learn more about who God is this book has helped us a lot! Definitely a great one to have on hand and work through as a family. You can use it at your own pace. Love it!!

Solid content; easy to use, no prep
We read and recite from the book with our toddler at the end of most meals. As parents, we memorize more Bible verses now than we did the first five years of marriage. Our little human expects us to follow routines which includes reading from this book - keeps us consistent. Book has been a game changer for our family and marriage.
