Easy and works
I needed these seed pods to start some basil, peppers, and tomato seeds. They are working great for the peppers but not yet for the tomatoes. Not sure why, but I have some hardy pepper seedlings. The tomato seeds were also started in other pots and are viable so it could just be hit or miss. I'm waiting for my herbs to start sprouting as well. Marigold seeds started nicely and are growing very well.

Great for starting seeds and rooting cuttings
I've ordered these twice and they work great for seed starting and rooting cuttings.

Talk about a Time saver!
Last year I did the whole pots and potting soil thing for my plant starts. And oh my goodness what a mess, and what a pain in the butt! Oh and did I mention the potting soil for plant starts is extremely expensive in comparison. These peat pods were so easy to use, and so inexpensive. I started a third of the plants that I started last year and it cost me way less than a third it cost me last year to start my plants. Also, I could have used anything to put these in, I had old seed starting trays without drain holes that held almost a hundred peat pods. Which is super space-saving when you don't have a greenhouse and you're trying to find room in your house for plant starting.Anyhow, I literally laid them out in the tray poured some very warm water on top and around them, let them sit for an hour or two while I worked on something else, and came back to ready to plant peat pods.I literally used one of my plant label stakes to fluff the peat pods and the end of a sharpie to make a space for the seeds. So I didn't need to buy any special tools to plant or remove the plant starts from the trays. My seeds haven't germinated yet but I've checked on them every day for a week, and with no additional water in the tray the pods have not dried out yet making it super easy to keep the seeds the proper moisture level for germination.I bought two sizes of peat pods, this one and a larger size. I recommend the larger size for larger seeds and larger plants. For example, I use the larger peat pods for tomatoes, squash, watermelon, and lima beans. I use the smaller peat pods for peppers, peas, spinach, lettuce, cucumbers, and Bush green beans. I use the smaller ones on the crops that can go out earlier and are more Frost resistant, save the peppers because they're probably going to get put in a bigger pot before going outside anyways.I will update this review after planting, but I have a feeling I'm never going back to anything else.

Easy to use for seed starting
I use these peat pods in a seat starting tray. They are easy to use and set up. I put the pods into a bowl of warm water and let them expand for about 10 minutes before putting in the tray and planting the seeds. Only drawback is ensuring they stay damp. Once they dry out, they are difficult to re-wet. They also make transplant, quite easy, and the rapper on the peat degrades well in the soil.

Great product
I grow all my garden plants every year and have used other brands of pelts. These are the best in my opinion. I will be purchasing extra this year so I know I will have this brand for my plantings in the future.

Game Changer!!!
Wow! Not only does this product have a nearly 100% rise, but it came with several extra pellets.I usually buy the Jiffy greenhouses, but have been disappointed by the pellets provided. I have observed for several years now that only about 50% of the pellets expand all the way, while the rest expand to 1/2 the intended height. Additionally, roughly 10/72 have wrappers that don't split at the top and I have to rip them to open the pellet.I don't know if Jiffy used a different supplier for this 200 pack, but these are far superior. For every 72 pellet greenhouse, I have only had 1-2 pellets that needed ripping, and an almost 100% expansion rate (certainly 100% reaching 3/4 of their intended size).Given the consistency, I may purchase a 1,000 pack next year!

The only ones I buy
I have gotten some terrible peat pellets in the past from other vendors, so I only buy jiffy now. These are easy to use, hydrate evenly, and are very consistent in size. They work great, I have better germination with these than some similar products I've had in the past. We always start our tomatoes in these pellets in January and grow them on mats under LED lighting. These pellets allow the seedlings to set up a nice root structure before transplanting to larger containers, giving them the best start possible before they head out into the garden. We start about 80% of our plants in these (not just tomatoes, but a bit of everything) and I love them for the consistent results. Value is great on these.

clearly not Jiffy
I've had several problems with these peat pellets - some explode into a mess of peat moss when they get water. Pellet wasted & can't be used. Another problem is they don't absorb water correctly and tend to roll over in the tray...creates a wasted amount of time to hand correct & make them usable...I don't recommend them to professional growers, they might be ok for home gardeners
