Finally, the references are rather useful if you are looking to dig deeper.

This book provides excellent overview of systems engineering process for air & missile defense. It serves ably as a 'check list' for experienced practitioners as well as an introduction to the field. The book does a particularly good job of walking thru the kill chain and provides some key expressions and rules of thumb to aid quantitative back-of-the envelope calculations.
