Awesome Sealer: Based on Vacuum Pump Only, Bag Feature Not Used Yet
Be aware that this rating is based solely on the Pump feature. I have yet to Vacuum any bags with any Sealer I have purchased. I have purchased several low-priced Sealers and came to believe they were all sub-par. But this one surpassed all expectations. I currently only use the Pump function for sealing Mason Jars. I use the FoodSaver Accessory Hose Jar Kit (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016OL1AB6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). As with any non-FoodSaver Sealer, you have to remove the Hose Adapter that comes on the end of the Sealer Hose (next to Jar Adapter in photo) and replace it with the adapter that comes with the FoodSaver Kit (see photo) that plugs into the Mason Jar Adapter. I only use the Wide-Mouth Adapter as the Regular-Mouth Adapter does not, and never has, work well. Not sure why FoodSaver hasn't resolved this as it has been a big problem for years. I use it every day as I am a juicer and Vacuum Pack 3-4 days worth of juice every 3-4 days. It is so easy and handy to use that I re-Vacuum the quart after I poor out the first pint even though I will be drinking the rest by the end of the day :). I have also been Vacuum Packing dried beans, rice, flour, etc. I am absolutely loving this Sealer.Pros:1. The Pump automatically shuts off when Vacuum has been achieved. Some don't. When I bought it, I was not sure it would.2. The Pump releases the Vacuum from the line when it automatically shuts off. You can actually see the Jar Adapter raise up from the jar when it finishes. I love this because I don't have to keep unplugging the hose adapter from the jar adapter (and re-plugging) each time which puts wear and tear on the hose adapter. If the Vacuum is not released, you have to unplug it in order to get the Jar Adaptor off the jar. Now, I just leave the hose connected all the time because the Vacuum has been released. I love this feature.3. The Vacuum is stronger than my last Sealer (kept that one for an emergency spare in case this one ever breaks and I need something while I am reordering one of these :).4. Turns off automatically after some delay. Not a big plus but kind of nice. Sometimes it turns off before I am ready but comes back on quickly when the power button is pressed.Note that after using the Pump feature, removal of the hose adapter from the jar adapter is required because you have to push the hose back into the Sealer and twist the hose adapter that came with the Sealer back into the Sealer to seal it off. There is not enough room inside this compartment to leave the FoodSaver hose adapter on the hose. But without the original Hose Adapter twisted into the Sealer, you cannot Seal Bags. When the original hose adapter is not twisted into the Sealer, the only option available is the Pump.Unless this Sealer wears out quickly, it will be my choice as long as it is available at this price. For the money, it is a great buy.

A lower cost alternative
It works good. Does what it is supposed to. I use it to save meat when I can't buy low quantities (I live alone). Save by buying in quantity, vacuum seal to make it last longer.

It has a considerable learing curve, but works well nothingness
The bags included with the product were considerably lacking compared to other brads, but with other bags it works very well and did its job.

More than just a vacuum sealer
My husband had a splinter in his hand 'cause he works construction he had a splinter in his finger embedded very deep for about a week and we were trying to get it to fester out by soaking it in salt water and it just wouldn't come up so I got an idea and I took the little tube it is on this machine put it over their supposed entry point and guess what it sucked that thing right on out no picking or prodding necessary
