A perfect summer vacation read. Literally hurt my chest to put it down without reaching the end.

i love it. if you like yearning, read it. if you admire good writing, read it. if you like happy ending, read it.

There isn't much to say about this book other than that it was a fun read. Though I think Beach Read was a better book than this one, I did like certain things about it. Like how Poppy and Alex's friendship was and how Poppy's childhood experiences held her back and how she figured it all out. Although I did get bored at one point and felt like I just needed to skip to the point where it all makes sense again. So that's why I'll give it a 3.5. I loved Emily's writing in Beach Read and somehow, I didn't quite like it as much in this book. But if you like best friends to lovers, lots of pining and vacation vibes, this book has it!

When Poppy and Alex meet the first year at college the only thing, they have in common is the area they grew up in. Alex is reserved and quiet, while Poppy is outgoing and full of spunk. After they graduate from college, they go their separate ways but develop a long-distance friendship and continue their yearly adventures. The Summer Trip becomes an annual thing for Poppy and Alex. Poppy and Alex haven’t spoken in 2 years. Just like Harry and Sally, Poppy and Alex always find their way back to each other. Their friendship was one of the most important relationships in their lives and they didn't want to cross any lines that may ruin their friendship. I absolutely loved this book. It had me laughing, crying, heart racing and hoping that these two would have a perfect ending. One thing that stuck out to me is how little physical descriptors there are of Poppy and Alex. Probably the quickest Novel I have ever read. I stayed up until 3am devouring this book.

Omg the best book I've read in 2023 and the story is well written not too dragged out or anything and trust me, this will one of your best read romance books. Everything inside the book was good but when I got the product delivered, I saw some gooey like substance on the cover of the book ie., it was kinda dirty. I had to wipe it off first.. So yea, I'm giving 5 stars for the book tbh, but gave a four because if the above mentioned things.. hope u really enjoy the book!!

Like any romance, you begin the book in anticipation that the leads will end together. They do. But in any slow burn romance, how they end up together is what matters. And in Emily Henry's capable hands, the story makes you curious about what happens next, while also making you laugh, and making your heart flutter. I would buy this and the Beach Read, and whatever Emily writes next!

people we meet on vacation completely won me over. alex and poppy are such lovable characters, and their dynamic has this warm, comforting quality that makes the whole story feel special. their yearly trips together create a sense of nostalgia, and the bond they share feels genuine and deeply rooted in friendship. the structure of the book, moving between past trips and the present, works beautifully. each trip reveals something new about their growing feelings, and the slow build of longing is written with so much care. it captures the complicated mix of love, fear, timing, and the risks we take when someone means everything to us. the romance is slow burn in the best way, filled with friendship, vulnerability, mistakes, and hope. it feels real and emotional, and by the end, i was completely invested in their story. this was a lovely and heartwarming read that stayed with me long after i finished it.

It's not at all kept my interest to read on, i myself a traveller and make such good memories. Even her love making scenes description was not at all exciting or thrilling. I read the book - skip - skip- skip paragraphs way. Really disappointed

Extremely well written, fully fleshed out deep characters, exciting suspenseful plotting. In the end it felt a bit cliche, though. The main characters' lack of self-confidence was also a bit eye roll inducing.

I reread this after a long time because a series is coming out and I wanted to refresh my memory. This was the first book by Henry that I ever read, and the one that convinced me to follow her in all her future publications. I love her writing style, the way she builds her stories, and her characters. She never disappoints!

Ich liebe die Dynamik zwischen den Hauptfiguren und den humorvollen Schreibstil der Autorin. Das Buch ist witzig, romantisch und macht einfach gute Laune – genau die Art von Geschichte, die man am Stück lesen möchte.

This was the perfect book to escape and feel like you went on vacation with Alex and Poppy. It was such a good romcom, I loved the banter and chemistry and it definitely speaks to me (IYKYK 😂)
