Great Fit for 80s Chevy w/ Step Bumper
Installed on a 82 Chevy K20 3/4 Ton Long BedFit:This hitch is a great fit for 80s Chevys with the factory step bumper. There are almost no good pictures of this hitch mounted to a truck anywhere on the internet! Hopefully my pictures show how good it fits. It follows the angles of the bumper perfectly, not much of the actual receiver hangs below the bumper. It looks very factory which is what I was hoping for.Quality:As another reviewer said this thing is beyond beefy, 73lbs according to the manufacture! I have no doubts in the capacity of this hitch, my 3/4 Ton will just about be at its limit before this hitch is. Good paint, solid thick metal and good welds. Good hardware included as well.Install:Install for me was just a little different than most would be. I have an aftermarket shackle flip installed, so it forces the hitch to sit maybe 1/4-1/2" farther back than with a factory shackle hanger. The instructions say to align it with the rear most holes in the frame, which it will line up with perfectly if you don't have a flip kit. If anyone else is installing this with a flip kit, it clears everything with a wide margin, zero worries or modifications needed besides moving rearward. Other than the rear two factory holes no other holes lined up. I centered the hitch side to side and ensured the receiver was nicely centered in the bumper. Clamped it in place and marked all the holes by using the largest bit I had centered in the hole and just spinning it with the drill for a second, leaving a divot. I took the hitch down and drilled a pilot hole at each spot. The instructions recommend working up to a 9/16" drill bit which is huge. I ended up using a step bit with the strongest corded drill I had and a floor jack to apply steady upwards pressure. The frames on these trucks are some crazy tough metal to drill (use lots and lots of oil on the drill bits!!). Mounted hitch, ensured it was still centered, used the included blocks and hardware, and torqued to spec. Installed and ready to go!I highly recommend this hitch if you are looking for the beefiest hitch you can find for many 80s GM trucks. I cant see this ever letting me down.

Perfect fit
This is a quality hitch easy install, took about an hour no issues bolted right , very heavy duty exactly what I wanted to pull my camper with, if you see people saying it doesn’t fit it’s because they ordered the wrong or they can’t even use a screwdriver. Great hitch recommend

Fit 1974 Chevy C20 Long Bed
Lots of manufacturers out there claiming their hitches fit my application but this was the one. This hitch has notches where factory frame rivets are. 2 existing holes matched but the rest needed to be drilled which was no issue. Just needed to pick up a 9/16” drill bit. Not sure if this would fit with an OEM step bumper as I have an aftermarket chrome one. Great quality built hitch.

No mounting problems - perfect fit
No real problems getting it mounted to my 2500HD truck frame. Three minor details keep it from getting 5 stars. The hardware was shipped in a plastic bag, loosely taped to the hitch. As the hitch is not boxed for shipping, the hardware should be shipped separately, in a box, to prevent loss. 2nd point, there is no attachment accommodation for the 7 way trailer power connector; no holes, no plate, not even a flat spot as the face of the hitch is concave. The only options are to drill the hitch (not a great idea or easy) for bolts or fabricate and weld the 7 way connector bracket to the hitch. Third point, the hitch does not mount to the bottom of the bumper the same as the oem hitch. I guess one could also weld a spacer plate to the top of the receiver and drill it so that bolts could be installed into the bumper.

Does not fit as described
Pros: constructed of heavy gauge steel, solidly weldedCons: absolutely does not fit as intended, paint was beaten off in multiple places due to almost complete lack of any kind of packaging, arrived with the sides bent inward, installation hardware missing, standard hitch pin could not be inserted in hitch pin holeI'm not sure if it was welded incorrectly, drilled incorrectly, or Draw Tite's measurements are simply wrong, but the piece that attaches to the cross member of the truck was in the way of installation. With thousands of pounds of force (a 3 ton jack could not do it, but a 5 ton did), it can be deflected enough to get the receiver in position on the frame, but then you have the problem of the bolt holes not lining up. The two holes in the back of the cross member can be lined up with the two on the brace, and the two holes in the frame requiring the supposed to be included hardware do align enough to get a bolt through. The other four holes that reuse the cross member bolts were off by at least 3/8ths of an inch.If a person were inclined and adequately equiped to cut off the cross member brace, grind it down, and reweld it correctly, and machine out the attachment holes and hitch pin hole, and repaint it (and purchase the installation hardware), it would probably be a very solid receiver. Otherwise, don't waste seven hours of your life like I did.

Great replacement
My factory hitch was hit by another vehicle so needed to replace it, this hitch is built very well, and seems like great quality. Install was a breeze and took me 15 minutes from start to finish.

Best Ultra Frame Class 5 Hitch you can get.
I've been installing Draw-Tite Ultra frame Class 5 hitches on my trucks since 2001 when I started towing larger trailers and they have always been a perfect fit with easy-to-understand instructions included with the hitch, and now I install Draw-Tite hitches on all my vehicles new to me.This time I installed the hitch on a 2022 Ram 1500 and it fit perfectly, Instructions said that it would take a professional 1 hour to install, and I was able to install it in 1.5 hours from start to finish including set up and cleaning and putting away my tools.Just placing the Draw-Tite hitch next to the OEM hitch will make you feel how much safer you will be with your new Draw-Tite Class 5 hitch.More detailed instructions with pictures are available on Draw-Tite's website to make the install even easier if needed.I highly recommend all Draw-Tite products.

Did not fit truck as it was suppose to.
Hitch is super well made. But It did not fit my 1978 GMC 2500 4X4 as the fitment guide said it would. I did not get to try it on the truck in time and missed the return window. My own fault. I now have a 400.00 plus hitch sitting in my shop.

The hitch that should have been on the truck...
Way more hitch here than the stock junk. This is the hitch that should have been on truck from factory. Only issue I had was having to relocate the 7 way trailer wiring connector. Would be nice if a bracket was included.

Exactly correct
Item received on first day of delivery range. As mentioned in other reviews, some of the powder coating was chipped off in transit - be prepared to do touch ups tp prevent rust down the road. Perfect fit for the van.

Tight squeeze but forced it to fit
Very sturdily made, either the truck was not quit right or hitch bit to narrow, was a real "Bit_h getting it up in place lots of cuz words n bruised knuckles and banging with sledge hammer plus 3 Jack's trying to push it up in place - was nearly lifting the truck off the ground... but it suddenly piped up into place - great but the couple bolt holes didn't line up... more cuz words n banging with sledge hammer but finally got them in - but once done looks great ! And it ain't coming off lol
