Good book, but some issues
I m about half way through the book and I think it has great material for learning of the cloud programming, but i wanted to mention couple of issues:1) Typos in the examples can be frustrating. I would expect better proof-checking for $50 i spent on this book.2) If you don't already know Python and Django, the material in this book is definitely not sufficient, even to follow the examples. I had to go through Python tutorial online first in order to continue reading this book. I think i will have to do the same with Django. Basically I m sitting reading this book close to the computer so i can look up unfamiliar details that the examples are full of. IMO, if you don't know Python and Django, and reading this book standalone, don't expect to get sufficient understanding. Of course you could say it's a good thing that the book forced me to learn these things on my own.

Excellent book
This is an excellent book, explaining the concepts very well, starting with foundation material, covering numerous hands-on cases, and finally digging into the more detailed topics. The coverage is amazing including topics in Cloud Computing, Big Data, Analytics, Hadoop, Python, and several applications, a nice mixture of breadth and depth. I strongly recommend this as a textbook for graduate as well as senior level undergraduate courses in cloud computing, data science, and analytics.

A very good Introductory book on the topic.
This is a very good introductory book on Cloud computing.I have been using it in class for two years. It presents an unbiasedcoverage of the topics. In many other books, the coverage is influencedby the research areas of the authors. If the authors add little more depth, this book will dominate the market for many years to come.

Best available book on Cloud Computing
What I like best about this book is that it covers Cloud Computing horizontally & also deep dives into the topics as required creating a very good balance. Here are somethings that I loved about this book:- Provides vendor neutral details about different cloud services & deployment models.- Covers basic Python training for people who don't know it before using it for different cloud providers- Also teaches advanced concepts about Cloud & Big-Data to make one comfortable enough to start building applications for cloud.

Written as a textbook, with lots of solved examples and case studies
It is written as a college-level textbook, with a lot of real-world examples that are solved to explainand teach implementation of cloud-based applications. Case studies provide additional pedagogical support. Instructors can request an evaluation copy at cloudcomputingbook.info and additional instructional material is also available at the site cloudcomputingbook.info
