First and foremost—these shorts run pretty much a full size small! I had to return the mediums for larges, and the large fit well; good waist and only the tiniest bit big overall; the mediums were mega tight—very close to most smalls I have had the mistake of putting on. I would recommend ordering up a size of you like a lil looser comfortable classic fit; these are not slimmer fit shorts all around, just comfortable more classic fit.I got the 7” Simples, and they are nice basic unblemished/decorated shorts with very nice and deep pockets. Nice to have more than adequate pockets (depth) in athletic shorts,Fabric is a thin nylon, but slick nylon (think almost windbreaker nylon), not a tricot or knit nylon.

I was not familar with this brand, but I took a chance and am glad I did. I felt that the shorts I received are true to size. The don't bunch up during runs and wick the moisture away well. I am not. fan of shorts with an interior lining or brief which these don't have. Finally, they look great. Two thinks up, Northyard!

These are cut small. I were a 4x size in these (and a 2x size in dress shorts). That being said, these are really good, light duty shorts. I wear them mostly as underwear over my jockey shorts to catch drips - I have a leaky bladder. I also wear them as outside shorts once in a while. But I won't like this many zippers. I wish they only had one zippered pocket. I prefer the Pinkbomb brand that only has one zippered pocket.
