This Stuff Works!
I don't take time to write many reviews But felt I should write one for this. I'll let the picture speak for itself on my Lipid Panel. But I have a long history of heart disease in my family. So I have to watch these things. I turned 40 in January and I'm a female. I have been working out consistently since March of this year, 4-6 days a week strength training for 45 minutes and i have a dog I walks much as possible. I'm not at 100% clean eating. But I don't eat crap food 24/7 either. Back at the end of May my numbers were a little high. I said give me 3 months! Well4 months later and had my bloodwork checked yesterday and here are the results! I'm floored and excited! I can't say if I have any side effects as things people are complaining about I already deal with it. But whatever is totally worth it! Give it a turn!

Reduced My Bad Cholesterol Naturally
Believing is seeing for yourself. I did not do well with Statins, had leg cramps, and had most of the side effects. Red Yeast Rice was recommended to me by my doctor as an alternative to Statins. After 9 months my cholesterol went from 236 to 123. I have no side effects with this product. I'm sold on it!!!

Pitiful amount of active ingredients
I switched to NOW brand from Nature's Plus Extended Release in an attempt to save money. I've always considered NOW brand to be a decent one, but now I'm not so sure. I started using red yeast rice after my blood work showed high cholesterol and triglycerides last year in an attempt to avoid being on another prescription medication. After using the Nature's Plus brand for 6 months there was a marked decrease in the levels of both. I maintained the usage of that brand for a while but decided to see if I could save some money. Having used other NOW supplements in the past I decided to try their RYR product. Unfortunately, I was surprised to see that my cholesterol and triglyceride levels had risen sharply when my 6 month follow up rolled around. I recently subscribed to an online "Lab for Consumers" that tests supplements while researching another supplement and happened to review their tests of RYR products. As you can see below, the NOW product did not fare well against my original choice, as well as some of the other brands (won't post those in respect to the copyright owner.) I did not expect NOW brand to fail so miserably.Nature's Plus® Herbal Actives Red Yeast Rice (600 mg per tablet; 1 tablet, once daily)Mfd. by Natural Organics Laboratories, Inc. It lowers closterol
I had a heart attack in 2011 which is when I was placed on a stain pill to help with clorestrol. The beginning if last year I had to be placed on another pill to help co.trol my closterol. I heard about red yeast rice stopped taking both pharmaceutical pills took for 6 months had closterol checked and it was good. Needless to say I will be taking these from now on they work in lowering your closterol.

Be aware
I gave three stars to be fair because the options are not measurable. It’s a capsule. No particular flavor. Impossible to measure pain relief unless you use very specific criteria over a specified time. Ease of swallowing depends on the person. But here’s the thing. I had to stop taking it. I already have to take a statin for cholesterol. Statins can cause some people like me some symptoms of neuropathy. This product helps cholesterol reportedly due to the natural presence of its own statin. While it’s a lower level statin, but since it’s combined with mynstatin medication, it did increase my neuropathy symptoms within a few days. I could have chosen to stop the prescribed statin, but I decided to stop this product instead. Just a personal choice and if my cholesterol numbers were More easily controlled I might have decided to go with the rice and stop the prescribed statin. So just keep this in mind and maybe discuss with your MD. I have a friend who does not have to take statins but wants to prevent the problem. I’ll be giving her my other two bottlesOf this product as a gift.
