So worth the set-up time and effort!
These were purchased to fit in the 16 quart Coleman hard-sided cooler. They fit perfectly. I put one on the bottom and one on top. I purchased the lunch sizes for the sides. Once the set-up is done, and they are frozen, they are easy to use and keep your cooler COLD! They work well!SET-UP: you have to fill them up with a specific amount of water. You need to use the funnel (comes with one) to fill them up. You should measure out the correct amount of water to fill them, but I have filled these in other sizes and once you've done it enough times you know about when to stop. If you aren't experienced with when to stop, then definitely measure out what you need so you have enough in there and don't overfill. Once they are filled with water, you squeeze a stopper in the top and close it tight all the way. The stopper can be difficult to push in, but make sure it's down as far as you can get it before trying to put on the cap. Then put them in the freezer FLAT. Unless you are looking to purposely shape them, keep them flat for best use once frozen. They were frozen by next morning and ready to go.USE: I put two of these and two lunch size in a hard-sided cooler and they kept the items cold for 36 hours. Impressive. They were about half to 2/3rds melted when I put them back in the freezer, flat again, and then next morning, again they were ready to use.TIPS:1. If you have an extra freezer in your basement or garage, I would keep these in various sizes in there for use in coolers. I also have the largest size that I put in a big Trader Joes soft sided cooler bag for car trips as well. I have packed groceries in and drove 7 hours and popped them in the fridge when got to destination and everything was fridge cold still.2. If you have a better funnel, use that. The one it comes with is small and flimsy, but works.PROS:THEY WORK!! Enough said! Worth the price - which is decent - and effort to set up! Save you money on purchasing food on the road. Have healthy foods from home without the restaurant, convenience store up charge!CONS:You have to put in a little work to get them "made" and they need to go into the freezer for 24 hours (will be ready in less if needed but plan on at least 24), so don't buy these last minute. Prepare for their use. They can take up room in your freezer and get in the way, so best if you have a separate extra freezer to store them in.

Keep things REALLY cold
So I’ve had these about a year now, and I am still awed by how well they work. I use these in both of my Yeti coolers, and they fit perfectly (especially in the Hopper flip 18; this fits perfectly along the side). Not only do these last a long time, but I have actually had my drinks *freeze after* putting them into the cooler with this ice pack. These keeps things REALLY cold, which is great for us down here in the south. We’ve had no problem with durability thus far. Would definitely recommend!

Five Star Purchase
I recently used these slim ice packs on a glamping trip, and they performed exceptionally well. They kept our food and drinks cold, and the three handled large ice packs with handles worked great in my TJ insulated bags (a great alternative to bulky coolers for road trips). The slim design was a game-changer, fitting perfectly into the tiny freezer in our glamping cabin without taking up much space.Filling them was a breeze thanks to the included funnel. They conform to the contents of the bag, ensuring even cooling. Their design does not occupy much space in our home freezer. The price was right for the quality, weight, and thickness.

For the people in the back.... These cannot be emptied when not in use.
So... I didn't realize these ice packs worked the way they do. I THOUGHT this was a reusable pouch that I could fill with water, freeze, use to keep items cold and then empty out the water and store flat until I needed it again. We were having a scheduled power outage and I thought ice would help keep the fridge cooler longer while the power was temporarily out. Since this is the second scheduled outage recently, I thought buying a pack I could store flat in a drawer would be ideal since freezer space is at a premium. I already have two hard plastic ice packs that take up room. The arrived the day of the outage, leaving me with not much time to fill up and freeze one. Worked great in tandem with the other plastic ice packs. Fridge stayed cool enough. We haven't noticed any spoilage of fridge contents. (This pack wouldn't stand up, so I actually placed one of the hard plastic packs in between two gallons of milk which I think was key.)Today, I go to empty out the pack, so I could store it flat. I squeeze out a little of the gel thinking it was just a frosty cork, and only then did I realize what was going on.I showed a friend the pack and asked how they thought it worked, and they too thought it was a water-in-water-out situation.I'm now thinking I ruined the pack. I didn't measure the water. I didn't release air bubbles. I didn't shake it. I didn't install the cork. Its a bit rounded with how I filled it. And didn't have the room to freeze it perfectly flat. I guess I know for the next two, should I ever use them. At this point, I'm hoping this thing can live outside my freezer and that it doesn't ruin the functionality of the gel because it takes up a lot of space and I don't need giant ice packs regularly. I wish I had ordered the smaller version as I'd get more use out of those for trips to the grocery store, etc. I don't even have room to freeze 3 of these things at once. So, don't "just add water" like I did. There's rules for this thing. Also, instructions say to freeze the packs 24-48 hours before use, so this isn't a last minute solution (like ice) either.I'll have to do a real test, but I'm not sure they performed better than the hard-plastic packs I already had. I prefer the usability (flat, standup, lay down) of those, but if these Cooler Shock bags do stay cooler longer, than thats obviously an important feature.Anyway, works great, I guess. I agree its less of a watery mess than 6lbs of ice and lasts longer, but its a solid, slick block. Unlike ice, you cant nest things into it, like cans or bottles. I imagine it would take longer than ice to cool any items that aren't already cold due to potentially limited contact. I see some people use these packs to keep the ice in their coolers cold, which is pretty funny. Oddly, that makes sense!

They work and stay cold!
I use these for a terrarium containing orchids that I need a large nighttime temperature drop. I place them on the outside of the terrarium then use a fiberglass insulation blanket coated in silicone. I'm able to get a 20 degree temperature drop easily and the packs stay cold for 12 hours. If anyone reads this is doing similar for plants, make sure not to place these inside the terrarium unless they are far away from the plants or you'll risk cold damage to the leaves.Great product, easy to set up, they freeze fast...maybe 4 hours maximum, and stay cold!
