It works well.
CPAP hose cleaning is a pain. This tool makes it about as easy as one could expect. Just don’t try to push it through the hose if the hose is bent otherwise you will damage the hose…make sure the hose is straight.

... give this two stars because the drying sponge is useless! When I inserted it in my Cpap tube
I give this two stars because the drying sponge is useless! When I inserted it in my Cpap tube, it started to shred and left little pieces inside. I did not realize pieces were in the tube until that night when particles ended up in my sinuses! Not worth the money for an item that only does half of what it’s supposed to do.

Be as pleased as we are..!!
I don't typically write reviews but when I have been thoroughly impressed, by not only the product I purchased, but by the caring and professional service I received from the supplying company. Both my spouse and myself are CPAP users that have learned we need to maintain a healthy quality of life. This means products involving this type of quality, supplied by the Care Pro Shop company, are very important to our continued health. So we thank you for this wonderful cleaning tool for our CPAP medical equipment. Thanks, Greg

Living with CPAP--hose drying notes, revised
Original review, 1 star: If you never want to use the wiping sponge tool, this rates 4 stars. The wiping tool does help your hose to dry, but it wears rapidly, so by 20 or so cleanings it is worn out, and replacements are not available (according to the vendor). The brush will probably last 6 months to a year, and buying the entire set again once or twice a year is not too bad. But buying it every 4 weeks just to replace the wiper is not green, is wasteful, and expensive. Thus one star.I am trying to find an alternative. I got a cheap foam paintbrush at Lowes, stripped the foam off of the plastic, and cut it into strips. Then I folded a strip over the end of the worn wiper tip, and used hobby wire to tie it on, being careful to leave no wire exposed. This works, but it is likely to tear the hose at some point, as it will have to be replaced every few weeks. I also have a giant sponge I can cut up. It is important that these NOT be cellulose, but open pore foam, in order to absorb water. The holes in the foam will be very small, the foam very light, and it will not dry out.Easier to use than the coiled spring type; I really like it. Keep the shipping tube to store the rods and periodically use a wipe on them. The white foam piece does help dry the hose, but you will want to put it, the brush, your mask and tank into your Hurricane dryer (see review) after you wipe them off, if you have one. Don't know how long the hose will take to dry without a dryer--probably more than a day unless you live in the desert. To clarify, it fits regular non-heated Resmed hoses, even if you have a humidifier.Updated review: My home made sponge tip did not work out well--I can't hide the wire, and the sponge wears fast. The seller read my review and shipped me 4 sponge tips and a brush tip. I hope they consider either making up a package like this for sale (maybe they could justify a decent selling price by packaging it with their wipes at a higher price, or by offering a deluxe cleaning kit with the extra tips at a higher price). Still, this kit is one of the lesser expenses involved in CPAP usage. I'm going to be extra gentle using the sponge tips, hoping I might stretch them out over 5 months total. In my humid environment, there are only 2 ways to completely dry the hose. Either hang it up for several days in a dehumidified room, or blow warm air through the tube. I use a Hurricane dryer in our extra humid environment, and all is dry in less than an hour. Otherwise my hoses never dry. The sponge tip helps removes many but not all of the droplets in the tube.I have a compromised immune system, so I get sick if I don't clean and dry my CPAP tank, tubing and mask regularly with a citrus spray and wipe. Years ago I never did that, but only occasionally got sick (throat, sinus, ears).I love this cleaner much more than the standard hose brush (which has no sponge), as it is much easier to use, especially if you also use a hose hanger while using the sponge. It is longer than half of the hose. Rotate it slightly clockwise, not counter-clockwise, or it may unscrew. The co. is great. Don't know how to rate this at this point, I'll update the review again if needed.Every little help makes it easier to live with CPAP.

Could have been dangerous
The brush to this set was okay but the sponge for the drying was terrible. The first time I used it, it began to come apart. It really was not good when I hooked my hose to the machine and turn it on and pieces of the drying sponge flew from the hose into my mask.. I nearly inhaled one piece. I will not buy this again as I only got to use it once.

Good size for travel
I had been using a steel rod made for cleaning rifle bores to swab out my CPAP hose with wipes. While that works, I wanted something that would pack and travel easier. I saw this and it looked like it would be just the thing for which I was looking. Now that I have had a chance to use it, I can say that it is just what I wanted. It is compact enough to fit in my luggage while traveling. It will be a whole lot easier keeping my CPAP hose clean while traveling now.

Better luck next time, maybe
Good idea in theory but doesn't work as intended. Too short for the hose.
