Good Pet Fountain
Pirchased April 2023. As of October 2024, fountain still working.Pros:Low noise. Unless water is low, then the pump makes noise (make sure to fill, as it may affect pump function).Good water volume. Currently have 1 German Shepherd (85lbs). Have to add water every other day. Mayve daily on hotter months.Filtration. If you know GS dogs, you know they shed a lot. And there is usually a lot of food backwash in the water bowls. This does a good job at filtering the hair and food and anything else out of the drinking water area. The dog definitely prefers to drink out of the fountain than any of his water bowls.Neutral...Cleaning. Neutral since I'm sure this is common to most. Overall not bad, but the little nooks and crannies of the pump are a little difficult to get to. Must use very small brush and or brush with long bristles to get into them.Cons:Pump filter info. Nowhere in the information provided or the product information on here, was I able to find information on the filter for the pump itseld. The small little filter that goes on thr bottom of the pump. However, I was able to figure out alternative below in tips.Tips and Products Info>>Cleaning: biweekly I give a very quick rinse, then run the fountain with hot water and white viniger. Let it run about 5 minutes. Then wash the fountain and pump. I find this helps clean out the fountain and pump a lot easier afterwards. Helps get rid of any buildup. Weekly, you can give a quick rinse and refill.Pump filter. Purchased below option of different bigger filter. And you can cut to split it into 3 or 4. I prefer 3. Works perfect and last a while. I change out every two weeks. Picture of full size and cut up portions included. Note: pump picture included as it looks like current pump pictured on Oct 2024 may be a little different.Brand: COMOYAPet Replacement Sponge Filters Replacement Pre Filter Sponges for 67oz/ 2L Pet Water Fountain Cat Water Foam Filter Dog Drinking Water Sponge Foam Filters for Pet Dog Cat Fountain (24)https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BFXBC23Z?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_titleBelow 2 filter brands and options also work for the general main filter. Large capacity, excellent design
Our family includes 2 dogs and a cat who go through a significant amount of water each day. I’ve been through and discarded several types of fountains and finally finding and settling on this one.Two things have been the bane of most of the fountains I’ve used -1. Algae growth - most of the fountains that allow for visibility of water levels are clear. Leaving these fountains in a place that has sunlight, even diffused, leads to algae growth very quickly. The DF-10’s container is a darker material and I haven’t seen any trace of algae in any of the nooks and crannies in it.2. Pump getting clogged with debris and burning out eventually, even after regular cleaning - all 3 of the animals shed and, between the hair and food particles that get into the water and to the pump, the latter would inevitably slow down and die out at some point. With the DF10, the design is such that everything gets trapped by the filter and the pump stays clean and debris-free. Kudos to the designer for avoiding this issue!Aside from these points, the large capacity of this thing is so very useful and scales well to handle the water needs of my 3 pets, especially when we’re out on trips and have someone pet sitting them. The noise level is also very low, which is another plus. The only downside to this fountain is the availability of filters for it. Have only found a couple of places on Amazon that stock the correct filter. Most of the ones here are for smaller models.Cleaning this is a breeze and takes far less time than some smaller fountains that I’ve used. All in all, a great buy if you have multiple pets!

Works great for a month then the pump "burns out" *Updated*
Updated on 01/07/24 - NPET sent me a replacement dish for the problem I had with the previous one. Since then I've had no problems with the water pump. I will stress, you do want to clean the dish and pump at least once a month, but I've had the new unit long enough now to say it does the job well, updating to a 4 star review.tl;dr: This works great but the pump seems designed to burn out very quickly, thankfully they have replacements ready to order on Amazon /sPros: Easy to setup, fairly quiet though not even close to silent. Fresh flowing water for your doggo is always a good thing!Cons: Not super easy to clean, pump breaks down after a couple months. That's it, that's the review. Buy it if you want just be aware the pump is garbage quality you're going to be replacing every few months.

Nice dish =)
Super easy to assemble. It took some doing to get my dog to drink from it but he finally did. Once he did he seemed okay with it. I’ll probably only use it when leaving him with a pet sitter which was my intention from the beginning...mainly cause I don’t feel good about the plastic. It is very quiet. It holds a lot of water. The water appeared to remain clean and only needed topping off. It’s a challenge to tell for sure where the water level is but it’s doable. It’s easier to hear when it’s getting low than it is to see it.It took about a week to get him comfortable enough to drink from it. I had it out about three weeks before my trip and was gone approximately one week. I cleaned it once after the second week but he’d only been drinking from it for about a week. I meant to clean again prior to my departure but ran out of time. The filter stank and look like it was starting to mold when I cleaned it after returning home. The unit itself and water seemed okay. He has an unusually slobbery mouth. I suspect that’s why the filter had had it! The fact the bowl and water seemed clear is remarkable.Thankfully, they provided two filters with the initial purchase and they’re reasonably priced. All in all I’m very pleased with my purchase.
