In the fishing village of Cedar Bay, terror lies within the water. And now it has surfaced in search of something more substantial to devour than marine life: human flesh. A captain and a sea biologist must wage a terrifying battle against the deadly creatures in order to save mankind from total extinction. Sea Beast Movie
Not sure if I'm rating movie or delivery, but I am going to say purchase and delivery were fast and well packaged. I am very happy to have found this movie. I don't care for all old horror movies, but there are a few I like. Thanks.

Fast shipping, one day.
This is a must see great cheesy movie. Some comic moments (probably not intended) and an actual plot that's not too bad, make this a fun movie to watch.

A Mild Surprise
Picture the scene: It was a Saturday in August, mid-afternoon, with temperatures hovering around the century mark for the fourth week running, making it miserable to even try to do anything outside. On a rare occasion, I found myself alone in the house. With nothing pressing to do, I switched on the TV and reclined on the couch with the intention of taking a most satisfying nap. Lying there, I flipped through numerous channels, trying to find some type of programming that was conducive for good napping; a golf tournament or an old, black and white film from the forties is always good. During my search, I happened to come across this movie, which was just starting on the Sci-Fi Channel. Before I knew it, I was still lying there, still with the intention of taking a nap, but pleasantly surprised by this celluloid endeavor. And before I knew it again, I ended up watching the entire movie. I provided that little backstory in order to try and paint the best way to approach and view this movie: With no pre-conceived notions whatsoever; just take it as it comes. The movie is derivative. That much is certain. And some of the dialogue, acting, and special effects are cheesy (cheap). But, at the same time, if you're a fan of such fodder and in the right state of mind (as mentioned in my first paragraph), it can be very entertaining on an amusing level. In that sense, I highly recommend it. To view it under different circumstances would be a waste of time. Pick the right time.

“You always were a cry baby.”
Someone got the not so bright idea to reimagine a Predator like creature that goes invisible when it wants to. It also hops out of the sea and bounces through the tree tops. It has a crazy long tongue that it uses to strangle people. It also spits paralyzing goo (a nasty habit, spitting). And naturally, it has a lot of hungry babies; they love playing hide and seek with a young couple stuck on an island with no cell phone reception!!! (In the good old days they used to cut the phone line. Now they just rely on bad, or no reception.....every single time someone tries to use a cell phone! Makes the darn things more or less useless in a crisis.) And of course only a couple of people have seen the beastie and lived to tell the tale and get laughed at by the local yokels. When more people go missing, or turn up in pieces, then and only then do the people decide to go a-huntin’ the mangy critter. Poor Corin Nemec, he alone carries this movie (along with an able assist by the CGI critters). Every other character belongs in an anger management class. There’s so much bickering and insults. Why would anyone choose to remain in this fishing village? If I wanted to be insulted I’d go somewhere nice like Paris or London.

Excellent film. Plenty of blood curdling action. I've never seen such hideous monsters as these in this film. Definitely worth watching.

The film starts in mid-ocean with a fishing boat and its crew riding the waves in the stormy, dark, rainy night. When a crew member disappeares, thought to have fallen overboard in the weather, the team set sail to port. Unaware to them however, there is something else hitching a ride beneath the boat. The creature with 2 arms and 2 legs takes to land, preying and feasting on the locals. Having a camouflage to that similiar to the 'predator', it blends itself in with the surrounding background until revealing its true form. There is plenty of footage of the creature and actions scenes, including gory bits with blood and guts etc. Younger versions from the mother also appear and attack, which adds a some variation to the overall picture. To conclude, the acting and the CGI effects of the creature are pretty good and the picture seems to be well made. Personally, I fairly enjoyed this one as a straight forward action flick and if you like others of the same mold as I do, then you'll probably like this.

Regardless of what the film is like, it was within the specified time and no issues with quality

The four stars rating is in comparison to other creature features of its ilk, the sort you get on the Sci-Fi and Zone horror channels. It's not a great movie by any standards but it is a nice little thriller. A good attractive Canadian coastal location that is well-photographed certainly helps. A competent cast of actors playing it deadly straight and characters that behave like real people is also a plus. The monsters, given the inevitable cgi, are relatively acceptable and there's a fair amount of gore -severed body parts and innards made outtards, plus one nice head biting off scene. It's all very efficiently and capably done making this a good example of its type -the low budget made-for-cable horror movie. Undemanding fun for the monster movie fan of which I am unrepentantly one.
