I wanted to buy this product but for someone who is incredibly Lactose intolerant with a high sensitivity- I am going to look for a competitor that does not use Dairy equipment - is it that much more expensive to find a plant ( pun realized) that uses dairy free equipment? You would probably sell a lot more -as I’m sure there are many consumers in my position. Good luck

The name liquor is used not in the sense of a distilled, alcoholic substance, but rather the older meaning of the word, meaning 'liquid' or 'fluid'. Chocolate liquor (cocoa liquor) is pure cocoa mass (cocoa paste) in solid or semi-solid form. It's equal parts cocoa butter and cocoa solids. It's raw chocolate.

Q: Is this fair trade, or do the cocoa and sugar rely on child / slave labor?

It's not fair trade. It may be manufactured in the US, but the chocolate wasn't grown here. It was grown by slaves. There are plenty of brands of fair trade chocolate.

Q: How come I couldn't request a refund on this? Mine came open and all I could do was give it a 1 star review and no one reached out.
