I have all of The Irish Country books and wanted to see the different stories in this cookbook.

I look forward to trying all of Kinky Kincaid Auchinleck's recipes! It's also delightful to find additional stories from Ballybucklebo in Dr Barry Laverty's perspective. What a charming addition to the Irish Country Doctor series by Patrick Taylor.

The cookbook was all that I expected. If one reads the Irish Doctor series written by Patrick Taylor, the cookbook gives all the recipes that are printed in those novels.

I chose this book for its recipes but as soon as I started reading it I remembered the characters in it. It was written by the beloved author who wrote that wonderful series of books about a country doctor in a little town in Ireland. I reordered several of the books in his series to read again as I no longer had them. Try this one and a few of the others. Its a wonderful wandering into another time.

Every time Kinky brings food into the dining room it sounds delicious! I googled a lot of recipes, because half the time I didn’t know what she was making, but this book brings those recipes to life. There are 1-3 page short stories to go with some od the recipes o headings. I love this book. I have the e-book and got the hard cover for my mom.

I have read the Irish Country books for years. This was a nice addition to the collection and also has some recipes that sound good.

Book is beautifully illustrated and wonderful recipes

This cookbook is an interesting read and has good recipes. I am enjoying making many of the tasty dishes. There may be an ingredient or two you cannot find.

Recipes which I grew up with - tasty with fresh ingredients from an Irish cook. Great for a family as young and old would enjoy them.

It was a good mixture of food recipes and stories.

My mother really liked receiving this cookbook as she is a big fan of the Patrick Taylor's book. Good quality book and a nice size.

Brought all the wonderful recipes from all the fabulous books into one place. I really enjoyed the short stories reminding me of the people and places that came to mean so much.

Having all of the Irish Country series on CD, this cookbook was well received as a Valentine's Day gift for my wife. When I glanced through it I thought the pages were on the monochromatic side, with green text on a creamy coloured paper, and just eight pages of colour photographs in one section.
