I have been pressing and cooking tofu since I became a vegetarian in 1993, and I finally got tired of pressing tofu in a paper towel weighted down with some heavy object in my sink.I ordered this press so I can press tofu inside my fridge and *save the tofu water for my plants or to use in a smoothie or in a sauce, gravy or soup. (Some people are even whipping tofu water into a foamy meringue similar to aquafaba!)This press does everything I need it to do, plus it’s so easy to quickly rinse/dry, stash in a drawer for tomorrow. I wish I had this 20 years ago!*If you want to save the tofu water, with a sharp paring knife, gently cut the plastic wrap from the package and pour the excess liquid into the jar. Then place the tofu into the press and set the bands. After the tofu has pressed awhile, without opening the press, pour the liquid from a corner of the press into the jar. You can then tighten the press if you desire, and squeeze out even more liquid to add to the jar after a little while.

I wish I had found this tofu press sooner! It’s super easy to use—pop in the tofu, clip it shut, and toss it in the fridge. No stacks of books, no soggy paper towels, and definitely no mess on the counter. I love that it presses evenly without cracking the tofu, and the adjustable settings are great for different block sizes. It even works well for gently draining silken tofu when I make sauces. The water collects neatly at the bottom, and cleanup is a breeze (dishwasher-safe is a win!). You can tell it’s made with quality materials, and the fact that it’s BPA-free and vegan-approved seals the deal. I highly recommend it to anyone who cooks tofu regularly—this thing takes all the hassle out of the process! The best part of this contraption is that the tofu flavor is 10x better than regular pressing.

There are sooooo many presses out there, makes it overwhelming and really hard to pick one. I looked for 1) ease of use 2) ease of cleaning 3) how it worked and 4) what kind of reviews.For me this one won. Yep, a bit more expensive but it has not disappointed us yet!It's made well, easy to use, easy to clean and best of all....it what is says it supposed to do.We have been pressing tofu over night to get it compact and WOW, it did a great job.

I have always wanted to cook tofu but found all the pressing and squeezing off-putting. Now my life has changed! This product works exactly as it should. I have no complaints whatsoever. Ya'll should taste my tofu scramble!!

After reading the great reviews, I narrowed my choices down to this tofu press. It arrived quickly and was packed well, but was missing one of the elastic bands. Amazon didn't give me an option to contact the seller directly and I didn't want to return it since it looked well made, but with out the band it was useless. I went to the seller's web site and submitted a question and within 30 mins, to my absolute surprise, I received a response back where the seller was deeply apologetic that one of the bands were missing and immediately shipped out two new bands the same day. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the product and how genuine, kind and helpful the seller was in making things right. Thank you!

Preparation of tofu for cold salads is made easy and fast with this gadget. After clarifying the tofu in simmering water, crumbled tofu can be loaded in the perforated compartment, rinsed and squeezed without the use of bolting cloth or paper towel. I eat a lot of tofu since I am a vegetarian and tofu has a lot of plant based protein which I love.
