C-622 has an internal resistor with a resistance of 3 ohms
This rating is for Spectra's customer service. I ordered this coil then I discovered that I needed a resistor. The description of this item does not mention having an internal resistor. So, I called Spectra and asked if this coil has a resistor. Someone called me the following day and told me that the C-622 has an internal resistor with a resistance of 3 ohms and can be used without a resistor. The coil came with a bracket as in the picture. It's being used on a Tecumseh OH160 engine with a Chevy HEI module and magnetic pickup unit.
