Game Changer for Camper Life
Just to preface I have lived in my camper for 2 years now and love the camper life, particularly after upgrading to a 38ft Reflection. This past winter was the worst we had in the Mid-Atlantic region in the 20 years I've lived here with significant stretches below freezing, which is uncommon here. The furnace was having to run frequently and I went from a 40lb tank lasting several months to 4 days during the coldest streaks. I wasn't prepared and got caught with both tanks empty in a week with temps that would freeze lines within hours. My water heater lines were at risk of bursting and refilling stations were struggling to keep up with demand so I lost a day of work running up electric heaters and running around to 3 different places to find propane. I needed a way to monitor my propane. So, after some research I found the Mopeka Pro Sensors. I purchased 2. They came quickly and installation was simple. The app and sensors worked exactly as described with no ads or bs. I even bought the LED level meter and installed it next to my Compass Connect panel so I can check my propane levels and gray/black tanks at a glance. It was a game changer and allowed me to always stay on top of my propane levels, cycling each one so I never ran out again. The sensors are incredibly accurate and reliable. There were a lot of fellow campers that experienced pipe ruptures and were forced to buy expensive half filled15lb tanks from gas stations just to restore heat in the middle of the night. These sensors are definitely worth the money if you do any long term camping and the convenience is great even if you're the occasional camper. I have recommended them to several people that were blown away when I showed them how it works. It's a great product that does exactly what it says it will! *Note* If you're sensor readings seem slightly off make sure you check the placement of the sensors. They have to be centered on the bottom of the tanks. Also, I highly recommend the rubber footers/spacers for your propane tanks. They keep the bottom of the tank from rusting out and provide the perfect amount of space for the sensors to avoid damage from any minor protrusions on the camper tank mounts.

Color me impressed
Just installed so I’ll update if anything negative happens, but so far, it seems accurate. During a recent snow storm that blanketed our area in ice, we got down to about 10% and had to call out our propane company. A small path had to be cleared to get to the tank and with the sleet coming down try and get a clear photo. Needless to say, it was cold! I looked to see if there was a wireless reader, maybe something inline with the manual dial, that could be used to look at levels from the comfort of a dry and warm room, and found this. I got it in 2 days before this review and made sure I knew what needed to be done for the install and it was easy. The bottom of my tank was dirty so I used cleaning wipes to get the area clean enough to install. You have to liberally apply the dielectric grease on the sensor and then place it. That’s it! As you can see from the photos, it is about a 3” circle. Before placing it how the sensor is read, but not connected yet. The manual dial showing just above 60% and then the app showing the same. It is working on a 500 gallon tank and I anticipate it’ll be safe, as it’s only magnets on the outside, and barring the battery being outside in extreme temps, I anticipate it’ll last quite a while.

Easy and Accurate
These work great. Setup is easy and they are accurate. I use 4 of these for my rv tanks. The signal strength is good. I can view propane levels from anywhere inside and around the rv.

Much improved over standard
These work so much better than the standard model. Battery lasts much longer (even though it uses the same batteries) and connection is fast, reading is accurate. I just think that they are overpriced. I'd buy more if they weren't so expensive.

Only 1 of 2 units works well ---SELLER RESOLVED---
EDIT - I previously rated this 3/5 stars due to only 1 of 2 units working properly. However, the seller quickly contacted me and resolved the issue with a refund. Because of the quick response from the seller, I'm updating to 5/5 stars for the superb handling. The other unit I have works fine. Also, many comments on here say the battery is not replaceable, that is not true. There's 4 small indentions on the faceplate of the main body of the sensor where you can insert a small flat object (like a flat-head screwdriver) and pop the face cover off which will expose the internal components and the battery. I just wanted to add that, as there are quite a few comments claiming the battery isn't replaceable. Below is my original review of the Mopeka sensor. I ordered 2 units and despite having trouble getting 1 of the 2 units to work as well as my other, I'd still recommend buying if you're looking at these as I may have just gotten unlucky. But because the seller contacted me so fast and resolved the issue, they get an "A+" in my book. ----------------- I purchased 2 of these for my 2 100lb vertical tanks. Set up was very easy and it linked to my phone via Bluetooth immediately. I followed the instructions for the first one and immediately got an accurate reading and a max star quality reading (1 is low quality and 3 is max quality sensor reading). I then installed the 2nd one on the bottom of the 2nd tank and no matter what I did, it kept giving me an error message on my phone saying the sensor was not properly placed for an accurate reading. I tried cleaning the bottom of the tank, cleaning the sensor, re-synchronizing the device, adding more gel to the sensor, recalibrated the level system, and nothing worked. I decided to just roll with it and see if it would work. It sort of works, but not nearly as good as the first one. After two weeks (and trying all the above AGAIN) , it still says the sensor is incorrectly positioned. Furthermore, it has trouble updating as frequently as my first sensor as shown in the screenshot. It struggles to update itself, which is frustrating when I'm using that specific tank. Sometimes it updates, sometimes it doesn't. See in the screenshot where my first good sensor updated immediately and my 2nd sensor hasn't updated for 22 hours. These tanks are right next to each other, so it's not a range issue. I don't know if this is a Bluetooth limitation or I got a defective unit, but considering the sensor issues I'm having with my second one, I'm leaning towards a defective unit. If I didn't have these issues, I'd no doubt rate 5/5 stars as my first one I've had zero issues with. It updates almost immediately when I open the app, says I have a good sensor reading, and is giving me an accurate reading. I can see the fuel deplete slowly in real-time while I'm using it. The second sensor, does none of those things. Lastly, my only other comment is that the low fuel level warning option in the app is a bit pointless as you basically have to have the app open to get a current reading of your tanks The app will not update the tank fuel levels if the app is closed or if it's been in the background for an extended period of time. I was looking forward to using this alarm feature as these tanks heat our house, but was very disappointed when I realized this limitation of the app having to be open on your phone. As it makes it a bit pointless when my tank is low, but I haven't received a notification on my phone. But then when I open the app and it updates and it recognizes my tank is low, THEN I get a phone notification that the tank is low. So I just turned this feature off. Otherwise the app itself is great! No bloatware, very simple design, easy to use, options to select various sizes tanks, able to rename and even put tanks in groups, etc.

Follow the instructions and everything works fantastically. The range is excellent and it's a real advantage to know where your tanks are at. I have 3 of these, two for the trailer and one for the barbecue. An excellent product.
