solid alternative
These are solid very capable generic batteries for RIDGID power tools, in my opinion. A year of heavy use and recharging with 2 of these power packs with no problems. I was really strapped for cash a couple of years ago; but I had some projects that could not wait and had to be done. So on a tight budget I decided to try something cheaper. Knowing I have been burned before trying cheaper generic replacement parts, I still decided to take a chance. This time it worked out. 5 stars

Absolutely trash. Battery charge is worse the the small batteries plus they only lasted a couple of charges before their would not take a charge again. I would stay away from them.

Replacement batteries for Ridged
No one deals in Ridged tools in my area, I had to get them from the internet. I have been using these batteries along with the original equipment batteries and can see no difference. They are totally compatible with all my Ridged tools.

NO SIRVEN
I PURCHASE TWO UNTIS OF REFERENCE R840087 AND NEITHER OF THEM IS CHARGIN. I AM USING THE R86092 CHARGER. I WOLD NOT BUY AGAIN. I CAN NOT RETURN IT BECAUSE I AM OUT OF USA. THERE IS A VIDEO FROM ANOTHER BUYER SHOWING THE PROBLEM. KEEP THAT IN MIND

Not same battery as original
This battery uses AMS000010165 MD 18650 cells rated for continuous discharge rate ranges from 5A to 15A, Rapid discharge 8.7A and Maximum continuous discharge of10A. The original rigid battery a Samsung SDIEM 121 (INR18650-15M) cell has a maximum continuous discharge rate of 23A.
