fun and sweet
This was a fun, sweet romance with a cute and unique premise and flawed, layered protagonist that you want to root for.

4 stars!
I really enjoyed this book! I loved Quinn’s character arc throughout the book of losing her journal and feeling a sense of loss, while slowly realizing without it she can become more of herself. I loved reading through her thought processes.Quinn and Carter together?? Stop. So cute. I love how he was supported of her choices and wanted her to be more comfortable in her own skin. And I absolutely LOVED the way he asked for forgiveness by writing his own lists and giving them to her. Excuse me?? Just casually passing away from all of the cuteness. The conversation of race in the story I felt was really well executed, from talks with her dad, to her standing up to the people who took her journal, and being able to discuss race with Carter and Olivia. The way that Quinn begins to admit her feelings and address the people who have hurt her and have said racist remarks was awesome. I was relieved that it was taken to the principal in regards to the bullying, and that action was taken. The friendships that Quinn makes with Auden and Olivia were special, and I love how supportive they all were for her in completing her list and just being there for her in general. Imani was so cute, and I wish I could’ve seen more of her.I also really enjoyed how her parents relationship was in a rough spot, and they chose to go to counseling and spoke about it comfortably with family and friends. Yes! More of this in books please. And as someone who was extremely close with my great grandmother like Quinn is with her grandmother Hattie, I could relate so much to feeling like it’s difficult to see them in that state, but then also realizing that time with them is so, so important.I feel like the one thing I am confused on is Matt’s storyline? Why did he become completely irrelevant to the story? I was expecting Quinn to have a conversation with him at some point, but there was nothing. I don’t know if there was a point to it, so I was just feeling a little confused. But overall, I loved this book! I definitely want to read more from this author!

Must Read!
100/10! Love and devoured this book! Not only is it a representation of love, friendship and self-discovery. But, the discussion of race, growing up in a predominately white space and the struggle to find comfortability in your skin were so tasteful. Recommend to any and all, an amazing book!

The story has some tones of bullying and coercion. It was a decent book. Needs more of the happy ending

A Great Light Hearted Read
This was truly a good, fun story. Quinn had so much going on but I loved that she not only faced her fears, but discovered herself and her people along the way. Plus, who could hate her and Carter???

Really well written YA book
I really enjoyed this book. I liked how the characters were flawed but relatable and believable. I absolutely loved how the author handled the characters' growth. It was not rushed and made me root for the protagonist. Kudos to the author for handling a sensitive topic such as racism so well.

A light-hearted book that tells you to be your original self (NO SPOILERS)
The book directly starts with the main plot: Quinn's journal goes missing. Quinn always depended on her journal and thought the journal made her who she was and believed in all the illusions she made for herself. But when a person starts blackmailing her, she is forced to come out of her shell and face her fears.I loved all the main characters. Be it the insecure Quinn, the caring Carter, Auden and Olivia. The pacing of the book is perfect and I finished the book in two days. The progress is good, one by one, Quinn with the help of her "new" friends starts facing her fears and in the process uncovers the parts of herself she didn't know they existed. The light comic scenes, the subtle romance, family issues, racism issues, studies and futures are well explored. By the end of the book, we see a completely transformed Quinn whose situations get way better after completing the list. The whole book focuses on one point: the joy of being your most authentic self and embracing your flaws. It's a very good book, a must read which will leave you with a smile on your face.
