I was looking for a piece of furniture that would match the style that I have been going with. The rustic and barn door look of this chest was perfect. I wanted some storage space to hide my shoes. And bonus a place to put my shoes on. I am a big girl so looking for something that would not break under my weight. I needed sturdy and something that I would like to look at on a daily basis. And not super expensive as I have been on a shopping spree for my new to me house.This item was relatively easy to put together although I did ask a friend to help me cuz I thought it would be easier with 2 people rather than one. I think 1 person could do it by themselves but easier with 2. The top opens easily and has a nice hinge on it so that it doesn't slam shut. I have started to put my shoes in it - but it is no where near filled - so spacious. I would like to buy another and have a place to hide bags of litter and bags of cat food and this I think could work for that as well.It feels very sturdy when I sat on it. I currently have a little blanket on the top for my cat to lay on as she seems to have taken over the bench as her own. I love having hidden storage. It is a very nice piece of furniture and I would buy a second one for storage of my cat stuff.Instructions were easy to follow. The tools needed were in the box. Sturdy. Pretty. Inexpensive but quality.

This storage box is very sturdy and is made of good quality. The assembly took nearly two hours. The directions were pretty clear, but they didn’t label the sides correctly so we had improvise the hinges because we weren’t about to disassemble it and start over.It fits a decent amount of stuff in it. I am using it for all of my papers and research materials. It looked really small upon arrival, but it is a decent size. It’s not huge and definitely not small.I am going for a farmhouse look so it goes perfectly with my theme.I like that I can sit on it and put my shoes on when I’m getting ready. I also use it to put all of purses and pillows at night.Just know that if you are very impatient, the assembly will be awful because it takes some time. Wish you can just buy furniture on Amazon assembled already. Other than that, it is a pretty addition to my bedroom.

Beautiful hope chest. It is good quality. It had very clear instructions to put together. Tight fit when lid is closed. Very good value. Great addition to any room. Perfect size.

Very nice and easy to build. Seems very sturdy and looks great. We were shorted a few screws for assembly, but not an issue as we had similar hardware from other projects. I recommend this.

Easy built. Clear directions. Build myself without help easy enough. Would be. A quick built for two people. Sturdy!!! Lots of storage. Looks great and moves easy without scratching floor at all. Cleans well with a wipe or cleanser...smooth finish allows it to clean well.

Very pleased with this! Reasonably easy to put together, decent instructions, with necessary tools included.Well packed with foam sheets, the pieces all arrived safely. It took me about an hour & a half (with breaks, I'm old!) to put together. The wood is solid, with a nice finish, and it fits nicely in the corner of my bedroom (using it for winter blankets).Overall good value for the price. Recommended!
