Ordered 6 total in several sizes. Arrived fast well packed and fit well. Caution when measuring pilings use a cloth tape measure and get an accurate measurement of circumference then divide each measurement by pi and select the closest size that is larger then the calculated diameter. If the diameter is 10 then a 10 inch should fit nice and snug but it all depends on the accuracy of your measurements and calculation. I used 3.14159 for pi and they all fit properly. One happy customer!

I drew a layout of our pilings first, then measured each of them (make sure to do it in more than one spot...they are not perfectly round!), marking which one was what size. In most cases the sizes were available (there was no 7 1/2 so I ordered 8-inch). When they came, the package was very small...found that they were nested together for smaller packaging...nice! But then I didn't know which was which. No worry, there is a small size number embossed on the plastic, also white, on the inside. Whew! that helped! They fit pretty close to our measurements--in other words, if the piling was 8" I bought an 8" cap.) In a few cases, my husband had to use a jigsaw to "shave" off some to make it fit. Had we measured better, I think we would've been ok (ergo the advice to measure in more than one spot). We predrilled because it made the screwing-in easier. We used stainless screws, 3 of them, on each. Make sure you are putting them on "square" because once the are on, it is a bit tough to get them back off. We really like how custom they fit, no big gaps at the bottom. Very nice. Would buy again but don't think we will have to. Out of the 40-some we bought, only one had a popped hole in the top. We backfilled it with a bit of white caulk we had lying around. No worries.

I ordered these for my homemade chicken feeder and waterer to keep the chickens from roosting on them. It worked perfect. I just measured the top of the bucket that I was using and ordered the size accordingly. Absolutely perfect!!

After 4.5 years they are brittle, crumbling apart and need to be replaced. I guess these are not UV resistant.

We measured all the pilings and ordered, 2 were a snugger fit than i wanted because of the pilings not being really round. but they are close enough to be able to screw in place, they all look good and are somewhat flexible.
