I wish I'd had this beautiful book to read to my own children at bedtime
THIS IS MY ROOM (No Tigers Allowed!) is a gem full of sweetness and humor and the push-pull of bedtime and the fear of the dark and being almost brave enough to sleep alone. The way Jennifer Richard Jacobson weaves Jojo's fears together is so perfectly stitched with wonderful language and fabulous illustrations of lurking wildlife in the closet. It is the best kind of bedtime story for the both the reader and the child being read to, and it reminded me of THERE'S A NIGHTMARE IN MY CLOSET, but this is even better because something even more special happens in the end. This is the book to read over and over before the lights go out. It's a pure hit of delight and storytelling at its most masterful.

Cute Book!
Cute story for kids who are nervous having their own room for the first time. Also, the artwork is amazing with a great conclusion. Highly recommended

FANTASTIC!
My son absolutely loved this! We immediately finished the book and he was over the moon to make signs for his room so he would feel more comfortable sleeping in there!

We love it!
Our three-year old cannot get enough of this book -- she particularly loves the beautiful art, which gives the animals an imposing size and scale without making them terrifying to a young child. The writing is adorable as well, and I will admit I am always happy when she picks this as one of her bedtime books (which is almost every night!).
