wanted 3.5 but upgrade rank to 4
Overall the price is fair, but foam support breaks down fast. The structure wear is pretty good and will last a good deal of time. The best part for me is the grip is amazing; almost like cleats. Other downside is toe nail on both feet. Dispite that I continue to buy this model 3x.

Bought these for trail running and OCRs. Held up fantastic!
2 year review. I bought them a couple years ago as a cheap entry-level shoe for Spartan Races (I'm not paying $150-200 for a pair of "OCR shoes"). Yes, they're cheap but have held up perfectly. They're light, drain water very quickly, and the tread is aggressive enough to tackle mud and crud, but not too aggressive that they slip on smoother surfaces like wet/muddy plywood. There's not a lot of ankle support, but that's not something I was putting a huge focus on with my shoe selection. After putting them through several races and at least 300 miles of trail running, I can comfortably say that they're a durable shoe and get the job done.

Great walking / hiking shoes
Believe what you want to believe, but I think that extra cushion shoes like New Balance and Hoka were hurting my lower back. But when I tried barefoot shoes, my knees hurt and I was getting tendonitis. So, too cushiony is bad...no cushion is bad. That's what makes these Saucony Peregrin's so right...there's a small amount of cushioning and it's not a zero drop shoe. I've only had these shoes for 2 weeks, and I've already put about 50 miles on them. They are very comfortable. I don't have leg pain (like I get with barefoot shoes), and I don't have back pain (like I get with cloud walkers). So, I'm happy. Your results may vary.

Super comfortable running shoes for on or off trail or every day walking
I walk and hike just about every day and am an off-and-on runner, and these shoes are great for all three activities. I suspect that I pronate, and I can wear these without arch supports. Very comfortable. I've bought 4 pair over the last couple of years. I hope they never phase out this model.

A Definite Step Backwards
Like another reviewer, I absolutely loved the Saucony Peregrine 10 shoes. From the moment I first tried them on, I knew they were among the most comfortable shoes I had ever worn. Unfortunately, they lasted far shorter than I had hoped they would. They wore through the soles, and I think the rock plate broke in one of them. So I had to replace them. I got another Saucony product. It was fine, but definitely not as good. Thankfully, though, they lasted twice as long. But eventually time comes for all men (and shoes), and I had to replace them as well. Saucony Peregrine 12s were the shoes I chose.I had read several reviews, and I honestly was not sure these would be the shoes for me. But there was a very tempting sales, so I pulled the trigger. After having had these shoes for a couple of months, I think my conclusions are very similar to that other reviewer. Saucony made some very questionable choices in removing padding, trying to make these shoes lighter. They are not uncomfortable per se, but they do not even come close to that initial feeling of amazing comfort that I got from the Peregrine 10s. They are a supportive, but fairly minimalist shoe. I like the lugs, but I worry that they will also wear down quickly. This is especially the case because of the slightly tacky material that the soles are made of. But only time will tell on that count. And by the time they are worn out, this listing will probably be gone. I am also contemplating replacing the insoles to make them more comfortable, and possibly reinforcing the outside, where on both my previous pairs, my little toes eventually wore holes in the fabric. If you are buying these shoes, consider seriously getting the wide size. One thing I loved about Saucony previously was the nice and spacious toe box. Thankfully, I read other reviews, which told me that these shoes were significantly narrower than previous offerings. I think the wide that I got is about the same size as the regular that I had in other models. So you should only buy the regular if you have narrow feet or if you like having your toes pulled together.

Make me run faster and jump higher!
These shoes are truly amazing. They make me run faster and jump higher than I ever have before. I was on a run the other day and a neighbor was yelling at me to slow down said she could barely see my feet because they were like little streaks of light because she couldn't tell one foot from the other...... or at least that is what I thought I heard her say because of the doppler effect of me passing her by so quickly like when a fire truck races by you with the sirens on. It was just then I enter a busy intersection and I was almost hit by a car when I leaped 5ft almost straight up into the air making it all the way over not the hood but the roof of the car. Can you believe it? Well you better not. These are just yellow shoes. It is 8 a.m. and I am half way through a family size bag of Doritos sitting in the basement of my mom house covered in Dorito dust writing this review. But I do have a very nice terry cloth towel that I wipe my shoes down with every time they get dirty with anything so mom won't tell me I don't take care of my stuff. Please also see my review for Doritos and Terry cloth show towels!
